We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I keep getting a MD5 Error on every installation attempt for this game. Does anyone know the source of a MD5 Error? I've updated everything, tried to manually installed, updated all my firmware, you think of it I've done it. Here is my system:
I get the same error you get! My game then proceeds to tell me to reinstall fomr the beginning! I have done everything tech support has told me to do! ALL MY DRIVERS ARE UPDATED!!!!!!!
Someone please give us a feasible solution

P4 2.8Ghz with HT
1280 mb RAM
GeForce fx5700

I feel your pain..I been thru the same thing a few weeks ago. There was no solution that worked for me...just luck after installing 50 times. I vow to never uninstall again after going thru that.

Copy it from one place to another on the same drive.
Now compare the source file to your destination file.
If they are different, your pc is corrupting files when copying etc.
I found out exactly whats causing this... Its the RAM. I put in a different stick alone in different mem slot (eliminate slot contact problem) and found out no more MD5 errors and no corrupted files when copying and comparing.
You can use TotalCommander for the simplest method of copying and comparing with nice file manager interface etc.
Turn off your Hyper Threading in the BIOS and it should work. Hyper Threading is the stupidest thing Intel has ever done. It appears it prevents the MD5 encryption on certain motherboard processor combos.
You using the alternate Audigy2 dll file in the BF2 base folder? If you are, then the server you are playing is probably running a league PB Config file. It happened to one of my clanmates during a match last weekend, for an Audigy2 card, the other team had an old and outdated PB Config file loaded onto the server.
I have the same error when trying to install the game from my DVD. I have tried a image file with my key. I have updated the bios as well as mobo drivers, video and sound card drivers. I keep getting the error at random points of the install.
Is there anything I can do? I dont have other ram I could try.
I had this problem installing Special Forces, I contacted EA tech support and they told me to un-install and clean all traces of BF2 in the registery. They even gave a step by step method if you are unsure about how to do it.
You can't just disable hyper threading. If you disable it, you have to do a new install of Windows XP to the best of my knowledge. At least that's how it worked on my 3.06 P4 w/ HT, perhaps it is different on newer processors.
If you chose to disable it, you have to do so through the BIOS, ie. "Hit Del to enter setup". You'll have to hunt around in the BIOS for the right option to change because all BIOS's are different.
I would do the memory check first if I were you to see if your computer is corrupting files when it moves them around.
I just built a new system (see specs below) and went through full install BF2 tweaking and patching.....lagging and choppy and then was booted by Punkbuster for MD5 error........had checksum and md5 errors a year ago with old system and found out that I had a bad stick of ram....replaced and was smooth as butter. Try downloading Memtest86 and run...I bet it shows you have failures......
i found in my system i had a bad stick of ram, took one out, rebooted and tried it and it worked, replaced the same stick back in and the same thing md5. so i bought a new stick and no more problems for me hope this helps.
