I'll only punish if it is clear malice, i.e someone from my team running up to me, looking at me in a weird way and putting a gun under my nose and then pulling the trigger. That's just childish and proves that the goals of the game is not their objective. It also proves that they shouldn't be playing on that server to begin with.

I will not punish for artillery, getting run over, being bombed by air assets or friendly fire in the heat of battle unless it has a repeating pattern featuring the same person. When a big red throbbing artillery icon advises me to relocate my behind and I don't comply, it's purely my own fault. Not to mention the commander screaming "ARTILLERY AT YOUR AREA" in my radio. Getting run over can be an accident since your view is restricted when entering a vehicle. And some vehicles are just damned hard to control at high speeds like the buggy for example. Air assets simply don't have the time to see where I'm at since they're even more fastpaced and they usually take me out with splash damage, not direct hits. That means I just have to be around their target area. As for plain friendly fire it's my own fault not watching where I run. If my SAW-gunner is covering my flank by pouring out hot lead, it's not his fault if I stick my head in the stream to see what's up.

I'd rather give the friendly player the benefit of the doubt since I've been in similar situations as where the victims weren't as openminded. And I'm certain that they're thankful for it. It is also my policy to reply harshly against bad decisions by my battlefield comrades because they lower my score by being ignorant and hitting pgup for a mere accident.

I will however make the malicious person regret his decisions very quickly. There was some thread discussing that sort of problem earlier, and how to "solve" it. Nothing like pissing off a punk.

I think it's bad logic to expect an apology and then punishing if you don't receive one. Maybe the person didn't notice that he teamkilled someone. Maybe he don't know which buttons activate chat. Maybe he replied in squad chat. Maybe the text is dropping by so fast that you missed the apology yourself?

Although it is a good etiquette which I support to the fullest. If you messed up the game for someone on your own team, you should apologize or preferably, revive him.

            It surely isnt bad logic.

Thats why i dotn punish for mines because they might not know they tked me.

However if they shoot me or grenade me or run me over im pretty sure they have a good idea that they tked.

What I like to do is wait in the aircraft hanger for an aircraft to spawn, then when it spawns and somebody jumps into MY jet fair and square, I just stand in front of them and wait for them to run me over then hit TK Punish. If I do it often enough I can even get the guy banned for exessive TK'ing, its great.

                  Re: Do you punish tks?

i look at the situations before i punish or not

example: he drives me over with a jeep and i walked there ALREADY! punish

i walk infront of a jeep and i SAW it coming: forgive

Hey Bramski what servers do you play on? Make a list so I can avoid you. BTW I only punish when I absolutely know it's deliberate. And that isn't very often at all.

                        Re: Do you punish tks?

If a plane drops his/her load on an armoured that I am trying to sticky bomb, I won't punish. If I forget to follow the Green Cross Code and get splattered by a vehicle then I won't punish. But if someone walks up to me, drops a claymore and runs away, leaving me with little option but to get a face full of lead then I will punish.

So basically, if it's intentional then yes the muppet deserves it! Otherwise I let it ride, in the end it’s only a game...

                          Re: Do you punish tks?

                          whats the point of punish?

it only adds an extra -2 points to that person

                          you'll spoil other people's fun
teaching them to spread the evil of Page Up key
and -2 doesn't really punish them

                            Re: Do you punish tks?

As far as I know, I have never been "intentionally" Tk'ed, so I always forgive.

Funny part is, I don't think I have ever been forgiven for a Tk, and I have never done one on purpose.

After the 3rd time by the same person...then yeah I punish  but I hate getting ran over and they see me in that case then I punish most of the time but not always.
