I must say i have had some crazy experiences as well .
here it is
::: I was playing engineer , i hop in the truck and drive off with about 4-5 guys in ( China map ,which 1 i dont remember ) in the the truck ---
now we are rolling down a road and sure enough here comes a TANK . bang -> hits us but we are still too far away from the tank so not much damamge to ur vehicle .I jump out reapir it while some of the guy's scurry around with anti tank positioning themselves- so i run around the side of the truck i see a guy hop in the drivers seat . i run out in the middleof the road to see another tank rolling our way so i pop out a few mines ( while the guy in the truck is watching me ) PUT out the mines on the road . i jump in the truck and he gases it right into the mines i just put down and PUNISHES me for it ...I couldnt believe it , so i asked why he punished me .ANd he said ( VOIP ) " im a n00b"

i left the game after about 5-10 minutes ......it really ruined my gaming experience that night ..

This is the one thing I dislike about the game. I never punish unless someone has quite blatetly tk'd me on purpose as imo it's bad enough for them to lose points for an accidental tk as it is let alone to punish on top of this.

If only everyone else was the same and didnt punish when they climbed up the ladder that you said not to as you had a claymore at the top

yeah same for me on sharqi peninsula me and my squad were defending a flag, so suddenly a cobra hops by starts killing us, luckely i was spec ops and the thing hoverd a few feet above the ground. so i stuck all my bundles of joy to it, now 20 secs. later it goes away being followed by our havoc (squadmember in it) so i spam the chat get away from the cobra, get away from the cobra and so on he responds with roger roger roger. so i pull out my detenator BOOM results in teamkills and the guy punishes me for it. luckely the next to me was admin and seen it all, 1 min later my squad had one guy less

most claymore tks are the fault of the dead man. though some snipers stick them in the most stupid places. while the 3d map may stop you tk'ing anybody if you put one on top of the stairs to the roof, you are still blocking off a possibly valuable position from your team.

FYI, some people including me, turn off the 3DMAP sometimes.

then stay the hell away from any map im on. the hud is there for a reason.

I agreed with Glasseye. STOP MINING LADDER TOPS. your not the only sniper and if you have to mine your ladder. Your definatly not the best. Roof tops are probably the worst place to roost. You are very easy to see up there. Also when someone gets hit with a sniper shot they instinctively look upwards. Trees, rocks bushes and shade are you best bet. Don't get me wrong. The roof works, I use it too. Not the best choose though. Only when it is the only good viewpoint.

i almost always forgive TK's...and i don't seem to get punished for many nowadays..

i was in a tank with a group of friendly around me, and a couple of enemy tanks rolls up, with 3 full humvees..

long story shrot we take out both tanks with a combination of AT, TOW and my M1 but a humvee survives, they get out so i machine gun them. One of their AT guys who was just about to take a pot shot at me so i machione gunned him, only for one of my guys to run into my line of fire and i killed him :/

i was expecting "you were punished for a teamkill", yet it didn't happen. i was like "OMG!!!!11111"..

only problem is that i would have got a bronze medal that round if it wasn;'t for the -4...but i ended in 4th place overall...

but i think people are alot more forgiving than they used to be, say 1 month ago..i know i am

People watch where you are running !!
In real life, you watch to the left and right before you cross the road, so why not in BF2? Too many times was I driving a vehicle and someone comes running acros the road, to late to avoid driving him over. And offcourse what follows is the punishment. Please stop this madness !!

I know how to use the HUD, thank you very much, it only takes a second to press alt twice to check for mines and claymores. I don't need to have it ON for the whole round, the warning symbol is more than enough in most cases.

The guy didn't see your claymore. Maybe he was distracted. Maybe he pressed ALT and that data wasn't on his screen. Maybe he just isn't good at the game. Maybe he made a bad call by punishing you.

I had a full APC ram me head on at full speed while I was stopped in a tank. I was given a teamkill for each teammate and punished by each and kicked and banned from a server for one month. Try that on for size.

When I get in game, I won't punish anyone for teamkills unless its multiple times. If someone on my team kills me, I'll prolly laugh and say "ur aim was a little off, now get back to it."

For christ sake. How hard is it to see a claymore on the ground marked by a Red Skull. Honestly? Are these people color blind? I just don't get it Im sorry. I don't get how you can be so stupid and keep running even though theres a red skull in front of you? ...

They're not blind. They're not stupid. They do it on purpose. Simple.
