Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I just unlocked it last night for my Sergeant Unlock. I listened to many people and they all said that i would not regret the PKM. do you guys have any tips for using it? cause right now its a little annoying sitting 3 feet infront of the guy and do not kill him. :/ (PS. i remember someone saying its like carrying around a tank... amen to that )
If he's not in handshake distance, go prone and fire in bursts of 5-7 bullets. Then adjust for the recoil and repeat.
If he's 3 feet away, open fire and bunny hop. If you do not do this, you will die. Your target (95% of the time) will be doing the same. I've taken out 4 guys in CQC doing this before. They'll all fire and miss (people can't hit jack when you bunny hop while they bunny hop). Then while they're reloading, just keep spraying. :p
And I would advise against the bunnyhoping. It's just plain stupid.
As I say, 'if lame is the game, fight cheese with cheese.' If you don't adapt, you'll lose every time. Stupid maybe, but it works and (almost) everyone does it.
Slow down your rate of fire. I try and single shot the weapon by tapping the button every half a second.
Coming from the SAW to this weapon and treating it the same way is a major disappointment in terms of cleaning house. With the SAW, you can rush in and go prone and spray away. With the PKM spraying away will make you waste more bullets killing the same target. Also you want to conserve since you only have 100 rounds and don't want to get caught trying to reload due to autofire spraying.
the PKM is my weapon of choice for urban maps
the biggest advantage is the clip capacity
its got incredible stopping power and (at least for me) decent accuracy low to mid range -- try no to go full auto unless you have to (you wont hit anything beyond 30 feet in front of you)
besides you gotta remember you are support so you got unlimited ammo
go kill somebody

I don't get killed by bunnyhoppers, so that's why I say that. Bunnyhoping is an old school tactic (I remember it most from CS). I got used to killing them then, so it's still easy for me now in BF2.
What you SHOULD get used to though, are n00btubers. I hate them.
Actually, when someone starts to bunny hop I just go prone. It works very well. They wont hit you, even if their life depended on it. Dont bunny hop..it's just bad. Plus, if your not right in their face, you wont hit them.
Dont listen to FM_Echo_One. People like him wont be able to do that in the next patch, so you might as well not waste your time trying to learn how to do it.

Do what you want, but everyone does it.
I love when people go prone especially 5-10 feet away. They can't hit you, while you go full-auto and take 'em out.
There has been no info on changes to jumping for v1.03 that I know of so game away.
I really haven't been that impressed with the PKM. I wish I had the same expirences of the people that love it. The only time I really like it is cleaning out tight areas like in that Stalemate map. I felt really bad because once I was trying to cap a flag, but I got caught up behind the building where the players spawn, and them jokers kept spawning and I kept cutting them down. I tried to move around but every five steps I had to reprone and another spawn cycle started. By time I got to the flag I was redlined on health and I died by a single shot, but I had no intention of spawn camping....
Other than that, I've seen no real use for that weapon. I feel the range is better than the SAW, but unless you are hiding somewhere in an alley the weapon is kind of useless IMHO.
I heard great thing about how it hurts vehicles and choppers, but I've yet to see it. It over heats or runs out of ammo before any real damage is done. And by then that vehicle knows where you are, or that chopper is long gone.
1. practice on an empty server and choose kubra dam.
2. you know the helipad where the usmc's uncappable base is at? good. there's a hut there near the helipad. go there.
3. don't go prone to far from the wall. instead, go prone where you can still see where your bullets will hit. then start shooting. take a closer look of where your bullets hit
4. now do this while crouching and standing
5. go prone again and this time, use your iron sight. then crouching, etc...
I would like to add though, that if you turn your sound to High and Hardware (assuming you have a good sound card), the sound of the PKM is almost worth the price of admission alone.
But seriously, with regards to vehicles, don't try going full auto on a brand new tank. What I found it's best for is when a damaged chopper is returning for repairs. Or a tank or APC is fleeing with lots of damage. You can manage to finish these vehicles off. Just keep in mind that the back plate all those vehicles is always weaker.
You can kill armor with machine gun ??? ...sounds strange because I see idiots at Karkand trying to kill my BTR with stationary MGs and in all cases they end up dead, and me without any damage....
