We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I have been trying to figure out how EA tabulates Commander Points. I have read a bunch of posts here and everyone says something different: average of team points, kills with a UAV in use, people using your supply crates, and who knows what else.
But, when I'm commander, I can't figure out the logic of how the points are tabulated. Anyone know for sure?
Nobody knows 'for sure' but there are some great posts on the EA UK boards and I'm sure here as well that have dug into the code and used some in-game testing.
Just when I thought I had it figured out...something happens to break my theory
It seems that those who have done experiments with this have concluded that it's purely the average score of all the players, and nothing else. Not sure exactly how it handles people joining and leaving, but that's the best conclusion I think.
Unfortunately this creates a lot of confusion, since as commander you can perform a certain action and check to see if your score has gone up, but the score can go up anyways due to the average going up.
I remember someone once said it is the amount of times your team has captured flags
might be cause I was in a small server last night and I ended up with 126 commander points (that's X2). We captured alot of flags and got alot of kills. Where as in a large server I usually get between 40-60 points (doubled) .. weird...
I was on a 20-player server this morning and kept getting 100+ points as Commander.. Didn't use the artillery much, had one TK.. I normally play on 32-player maps and get half as many points..
When i got most points as commander 120 ( x2 ) was in a 64 server map with aorund 20 ppl, my team was great and capped many flags, the thing is that we had always like two more flags than the other team.
They also requested me a lot ofd things which i gave them, requested also orders, etc..
It seems that Commander points is the average of your team's score. How does that work with people leaving/joining the server throughout the map? Obviously, if there is a mass exodus from the server right before the map is over, then your work is not reflected in commander points. Is it a running average? Anyone know?
cant be the average of the team score
this morning, just before going to work i played 2 rounds of Fushe just to get my first unlock
I didnt actually play, just sitted in a nice corner, doing scans, giving orders and such
I didnt "kill" anyone besides a few arty kills (but those do not give score, just improves overall k/d ratio) First round i ended 2nd of my team though we didnt win..and 1st of our team had only 4 points more then me, so it can not be the average of the team.
I *think* i got points when
1. squads ask for orders and you give them
2. squads ask for supply drops / drones and you give them
3. squads follow your orders (you give them an order, they agree - get a green V next to squad in the list, they actually GO to the specified point, green V gets away, mission accomplished --> get a point
4. squads cap a flag
i didnt look closely enough to the score to see if "spotting ennemies" or maybe x number of scans or that kind of things can help
I'm just amazed that nobody has figured this out definitively... I mean, the game was released for 3 days, and people had figured out every ribbon/badge requirement (without EA/DICE's help). Yet there is no clear consensus on commander points. Wild.
I am 100% shure it isn't the average score of your team, I was playing as commander on a 16 player server running a 32 player map, and after like 30min I was in second place, this while nowbody left the server.
Also, if it would be the average, from what players ?? if five new players come in, your score won't rise anymore for like 10min , they would pull the average down to much.
I started watchnig how it worked and it has something to do with capturing flags and keep those for some seconds, also you get points for keeping flags for some time (defending) .
It has absolutely nothing to do with use of artilery; kills, UAV, suplie, because I have tested this to, I just start beeing commander and didn't do anything, absolutely anything, and still I had a good commander score because my team was good.
Point is, if you are a good commander, you can help your team much, and this makes that your team keeps/captures many flags what gives you commander points
it's not the average points...
from what i see it's only when they cap a flag.. u get 2 points then...
many flag caps then u get many points.. that's all.
