other than the chipset, whats the difference between the two motherboards and which one is better. Thanks

right...about the same...
different chipsets, different # of pci-e x1 slots, one has onboard gfx..A8N-E has Sata 3gb, not just Sata. Basically i "think", the A8N is a dedicated Pci-e platform, and looks to be a newer design. The A8V looks more like an AGP board with PCI-e plugged onto it...
