Is there another FPS that helps your skill in BF2?

Is there another FPS that helps your skill in BF2? Like reaction time and aim? I know CounterStrike and painkiller are very different games, but shouldn't they help you in terms of aim in BF2?

best FPS to learn FPS is counter strike , there you arte forced to learn aiming for the head or you won't kill to much, also you learn how to work with the recoil and stuff.

Counter strike isn't easy what makes it a good learning school, once you own in CS , you will own in other shooters

LoL, practice BF2 instead of playing another game to practice for BF2

Honestly the best practice you can get is playing more BF, and if you don't want to hurt your stats play on a non-ranking server. You could also dial back and play BF1942 or BFVietnam, though I think the Dash option makes BF2 a whole new beast. Always aim for the head, thats about the only thing that hasn't changed much in the BF games.

This simply is not the case, counter-strike and BF2 are two totally different games, along with most other FPS games. Counter-Strike may help with twitch games like CoD, but there is much more to BF2. Best way to get good at BF2 is to play the game itself. It also helps to have played bf42 in the past since it gives you a feel for the open style maps and the vehicles along with infantry. Nothing annoys me more though when I see that sniper straight out of CS standing up with his m24 straifing in and out from a corner, BF2 has something called prone .

offcourse the best game to learn BF2 is BF2 , but the topicstarter asked wich OTHER game would be good for his skils.

Counter strike is totaly different then BF2 , but when it comes to killing people as infantry, not one FPS will give you the FPS skills as counter strike.

But counter strike won't improve your skills in vihicles and stuff, just improve your skills with a weapon in your hand and aiming for the head

if you want to hone your infantry skills then you can play Americas Army although you may find BF2 frustrating after because you'llshoot someone in a way that should kill them as dipicted in AA but in BF2 they won't die because of the crappy energy bar.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Fast-paced and more fun than Counter-Strike.

Ace Combat 2-5. This game teached me how to dogfight and drop dumb bombs accurately.

I wouldn't play cs, if you shoot like you do in cs with bf2 you tend to totally suck and never kill anyone. When I first played bf2 I shot like I did in cs and it took me a while to learn how to shoot properly in bf2, they are completely different.

                            Exactly what I was thinking.

Just play BF2 to get better at BF2. You can play other games to increase your skill in a "first-shot" situation, but after that, BF2's weird-as-hell recoil starts kicking in.

Serously, a game called Stepmania dramatically increased my awareness. Its like DDR apart from on pc. If you play on hard mode and have your keys binded to WSAD then it can help.
