What video settings do u play at?

Hi guys i have:

bfg geforce 6800 o/c
athlon 64 3200+
a8v deluxe
1 gig pc3200
120 gb hard drive; 98 of it is used

i play the game on everything max, 2X anti-aliasing, and at 1152X864 resolution. However when i turn around or shoot, there is a split second slowdown, and the bulllet fires after i click. i am getting around 60 frames by the way but there is sudden drops frequently. any advice would be very helpful.

Wait? Seems nvidia cards are having issues with this game, either the v1.03 patch due out in 2 weeks will fix it, or a driver release from Nvidia will.

I play at 1280x1024, 100% draw distance, 4xAA, 8xAF, all settings High.
My specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 +4600

it might be ur RAM. wit tht good video card, ur 1gb MAYBE possibly slowing ur gaming down. get a another gig. then i BET u will have no lag. my friend has a x800 or x850 and he use to have 1 gig and when he upgraded to 2 gig, he plays wit no lag.

I play it on a llaptop that I didn't exactly buy for gaming but on the subject don't know what to do to make it better.
Specs:
AMD Sempron Mobile 3000+
512RAM DDR
ATI Mobility Radeon X700 PCI-E
80GB HDD

Was thinking of maybe getting a gig of ram just wondering if this would improve my gaming as I only have a 1.8Ghz cpu. Advice welcome

I have an x800xl
AMD 3200+
1 gig

Running 1280x1024 resolution on a Dell 2005fpw(20 inch widescreen monitor)
Texture=medium
Lighting=medium
AA=2x
Everything else set to high, including view distance

So how does the game run? Normally there is stuttering on the first map i play. After about 30 seconds it stops. Then it will just stutter every now and then during game play, about one stutter every 10-5 mins. I've been reading that 2 gigs will fix this.

i play at Half High HAlf Medium 4xaa , and i get about 60-90 FPS and res. is 1024x768

wait a sec, how did u get 1280x1024? i don't get that option in video settings. It only gives me as high as 1152X864

Theres a commandline to put in your shortcut but I cant remember what it was :S It basically forces it to the res you wont but be careful as you may not be able to choose a higher res because your monitor might not support it. If it supports 1600x1200 you'll see how amazing bf2 looks.

yea i have an x800xl

i run 1280 x 1024 everything high, except dynamic light on medium and dynamic shadows on low. I put these settings down cause to me they look the same on high or low. I have cranked these up all the way and still have played perfectly smooth, id just prefer the extra 5-10 fps, why not if everything looks exactly the same.

but yea, keep your textures on medium if you only have 1 gig. I happen to have 2 gigs which is why i have most things on high.
