6800 or X800pro or just keep my 9800pro?

Yeah so I have been thinking of upgrading my video card. What i was thinking of getting was a x800pro but I just don't have enough $$$ yet but I dot have some for this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150068

What card is better and by how much? Is it worth the upgrade from a 9800pro to a 6800? what is the difference between 128mB and a 256mb 6800? I want these setting for BF2.. everything on high but textures and shadows with AAx2 what card could give me good fps with those settings. If you have any of these card post your BF2 video settings and fps THANKS!

Consider the X800XL instead of the X800pro, it has 4 extra pipelines and is in the same price bracket.

i like my 9800 pro... im just bottlenecking at the RAM... page file useage playing multiplayer is 1.10GB.. and i only have 1gb of ram... so its having to use the HD and that blows...

I used to love my 9800pro too until now... I can't even play one medium without
my fps dropping to 13 -25 after I play for like 10 mins could this be a heat issue? I used to play on med/high with AA on 2x even 4x with good fps!!!

Hi, it's my first post . Look, try to change the agp aperture size to 512 and change the PCI latency to 64 (there's a program with the same name in 3dguru). Then change also the virtual memory (2000/4000, remember reboot). Also use radlinker and chose "default on" for V-sync. My bf2 settings http://img167.imageshack.us/my.php?i...ettings2ji.jpg . I've got 30-55fps all time :evil: (26 in stress!!!). I'll recomment to use an Ac Ati silencer 1 an memo heatsinks (that's the word :P)

I agree with JMU, 7800GTX is the way to go. I wonder how long it will be before I see the day that this card chokes on a game...

I have a X800 XL, and I play on 1280x1024, most things on high (except shadows, lighting, and textures - which are on medium), and even 2x, 4x, or 6x AA added and STILL with good frame rates. :)

I think this game needs a 512mb card! Cuz my 9800pro can't run it worth ****. If I get hit with a flash nade my screen looks like a rainbow and I can't see then I die. Also it takes me for every just to log into account server. Most of the time I go task manager and it says BF2 not responding.

Question: I type this (renderer.drawfps 1) in console during game to get my FPS right. In top right conor it says something like 15/30. So which is ur FPS??
