Female methods to stop you from playing?

ok u guys are gunna dig this: my wife is an manager in retail, makes big bucks, we have 4 kids....i am a STAY AT HOME DAD!! thats right boys and girls....i get to stay at home ALLLLL day and play...as long as the house is not a mess she says nothing until........she comes home lol, then most of the time she has to get up early and i can play in peace while everyone is asleep

Well there is no way if she's not into games at all. Maybe introducing to Sims series would be easy way to show what gaming is. Women have a natural way of getting on every ones life. Think aboot soap operas and sith.

Well my psycho ex stopped me playing DC by cutting every single lead attached to my PC. Monitor cable and power cable, wireless key and mouse receiver, all the leads for my 5.1 speakers, network cable etc....

Now I can understand her being mad if I was playing a lot but at that time I was only playing about 5 hours a week :cry:

My current g/f does not mind as I only see her at weekends (she lives in Surrey)

YEpp i can relate to this .. we used to play just about everyday when AA was in good shape . but then she slowly moved over to PS2 . which is fine by me .. PS2 is fun but for me its the PC + FPS that tickles my toes ..
but its funny to see that maybe 40% of us have understanding women .. i mean WTF how many people SIT infront of the TV everynight around the world showing them adverts ( semi brain washing )1 after another and noone thinks this anything of this . but man if it comes to PC gaming then people cannot understand.. in short i have a friend that is not into computers at ALL , when they stop by for dinner parties and a few other friends as well , he always has some negative remark about my time spent at the computer ( IM a programmer as well ) and how i play these KIDS games .. while the rest of the friends that are over are mad gamers as well so we win the argument in a few minutes ..but its not who is right , its just what type of intertainment we choose . i choose PC games =FPS to fill up my late nights .
some choose films or TV shows -<-- that for me isnt happening . i dont watch TV , only films or the olympics . but here in sweden ATM we only have 4 channels and most of the time its just crap . so i dont use/watch it ..

My wife was cool once I introduced here to the SIMS. Sometimes it's me that's lonely, well before BF2 came out and everyone had stopped playing soldner.

I do get the, "why don't you marry your computer?" I respond with , "Why buy the cow when the milk is free."

I often have to do the lay down when she goes to sleep, then try to get out of bed without waking her. All in all shes a sport about it. She wants to play BF with me, but her machine can't cope. She's hot though, so I don't have a problem getting out of game.

My partner used it as an excuse to go off at me for not paying enough attention to her. I did of course, I absolutely loved spending time with her, but yeh. If ever the missus starts whinging about you not spending enough time with her, SPEND MORE! stops her and your best mate getting going behind your back. ouch.

I get this all the time. My answer is always: "Yes, I do love my computer more than you. You knew this when you married me." This is always followed by a swift slap to the back of my head, letting me know that it's time to stop playing.

My wife is a gamer also, although shes into more of the roleplaying stuff FFXI. So she doesnt give me a hard time about playing.
