well the slot it goes into is Orange and is slightly longer then the PCI slots below it...

Kt400-8235 = AGP Afaik.

I have an NVIDIA FX5200 which is supposed not to work, but mine runs fine and dandy, so you dont need to spend a lot - I do have a Gig of Ram tho.

Your system does sound a little a little slow - maybey try a new graphics card and some RAM. You should be able to do this for under 100.
