First you should decrease the resolution to 1024 x 768 and then follow my settings, see if you're still getting lag.
Stuttering with high-end PC (PCI-E, so no AGP Aperture))

If the game seems like its pausing temporarily its your memory. Your computer is paging to the hard disk for virtual memory and thats what the pausing is. Try turning down your resolution as there's no need to play at that high of a resolution. Second, what speed is your memory. Also try doing a few 360 degree turns when you get in game to load all of the textures and such. But I think you're just turning your resolution up too high. Seeing as most people with high end PC's are getting bad performance with this game, its only a matter of a few patches till this game runs right. I remember Battlefield:Vietnam when it first came out, it ran like absolute ass until it was patched like 4 times.Comment

my very first post was along similar lines, new system, should run great, but stutters, i upgraded from 1 gig of mismatched ram to a gig of "dual channel" memory and all was sweet...
altho it does still stutter a little bit whilst joining a server, only for a few seconds tho, i think this is the performance issues EA/DICE are working on, and it seems tobe more server orientated rather than client side..
the answer is right there, its a laptop, and it has nothing todo withyour cpu or ram or gfx card, they are ok, its the lappys bandwith across its FSB thats holding ya back ( the connections between the componants is the bottleneck), also 1.25 gig or ram must mean its not operating in dual channel mode, again holding back BW, as many have said, lower your settings to medium, and let it breath a little
also...
centrino is actually pretty goode and works in a similar way to how the athlon xp/64's do, however until just lately the mobo's wernt any good, youll also see alot of desktop mobos appearing for this chip now too, as its highly overclockable...Originally posted by $G-MONEY SMITH$ok funny how even bfv played 10x better when i went to 2 gigs, what a difference and i think cpu is a hunk of **** centrino is crap.Comment
