The specifications look as though they are X800XL with just 8pixel pipelines.
If the price is right then this could be an awesome mid range card.

X800GT might just be the next choice for people hunting for graphic cards in the sub $200 category. The first rumours started over a year ago, but back then the card was rumoured to be a competitor for nVidia's 6800GT. But it is more likely the card that will slap 6600GT. X800GT is equipped with 8 pixel pipelines, 6 vertex pipelines and a VPU at 470MHz. The memory can be 128, 256 or 512MB with 256bits interface working at frquencies up to 490MHz. The card only exists as engineering samples so far thus the final product may look a bit different.

ATI HAS STARTED sampling its new X800GT cards. Partners already have them and we learned that there will be three versions of the card. One will be X800XT with 256MB of memory and will cost $159. It will feature 392MHz core speed, 700MHz memory and will come with GDDR3 or DDR1 memory.....ATI decided to attack Nvidia's Geforce 6600GT hard, as it will price its X800GT 128 MB card at $139 only.

There's no point buying a 512MB video card. If you're planning to spend a few more bucks, go with 6800GT or X800XL.

Right. It's all about clock speed. The clock speed and rendering speed is the bottleneck in graphics cards. All that extra RAM doesn't do you any good if you can't fill it up fast enough for the program you're trying to run.

your right though. clock speed and pipage tend to make the biggest difference.

Well, it's your money, but 6800GT 256MB with 16 pipelines will blow the socks off a X800GT 512MB with 8 pipes. Don't be fooled by the numbers, 512MB vid card memory is the biggest ripoff at the moment.

Youll notice a lack of D3 from the list of comparisons. Even though no one plays it anymore its still one of the marks of a video cards stature. Im taking a guess its because the OpenGL so slaughtered the X800GT vs the 6600GT that they conveniently left it out. While the gap for DirrectX9c, which lends itself to ATi, gaps only traditionally marginally. Probably would have shown poorly by comparison is my guess =\
