Help me decide what the best 3rd unlock will be for me!

How much difference does Armor make in BF2? For an example, Special Ops vs Anti-Tank; AT has heavy armor and SP has none. How many more hits/damage can the Anti-Tank take since he has heavy armor? Thanks again.

i'd suggest you go for the PKM but it'll fall on deaf ears anyway..

IM getting PKM dont get Jackhamma i have seen them to be useless but ? why do you need the doa street sweeper, Get Spec ops then? how much do you play?

Retribution: The PKM is simply "OK" to me. I guess its that the iron scope REALLY turns me off since it blocks out nearly everything. I like the power, but.. iron scope makes me turn away.

Hollister: I'm not quite sure what your talking about here. DOA Street Sweeper? Are you talking about the DAO-12? If your asking why I would need it, I would need it to shoot and kill people. Get Spec Ops... that's what I'm currently debating - DAO-12 vs G36C. I play every day for about 3-4 hours.

Man how do you guys do it?I am sitting right at4k not even half way to my 2nd unlock.What are the sercets to getting to your 2nd unlock fast someone let me in on them.Between the beer,friends,work,and rideing the zx-6r I am sure I will not reach it for another month.

The only map I've found the DAO to be useful on hax0red servers was Songhua Stalemate, because of the short view distance. I chose the PKM first, and for second I'll go with the L85 for second, and I suggest the G36 for you. The DAO just doesn't have the advantages.

dont pick the L85...you will be disappointed like most people who get it. Youd be better off with an MP5

Pros and cons of your unlock options (DAO-12, G36C):

DAO-12:

Pros: It's awesome at close range, has quite a bit of shells (ammo), beats the MP5 at close range, tons of power.

Cons: Bad at anything but close range (duh, it's a shotty), recoil is hard to control sometimes.

Verdict: Such an upgrade from the MP5, i never use the smgs at range, pistol is more accurate than that, So good at close range.

G36C:

Pros: Like no recoil, just as accurate as the rest of the carbines, great for full auto and burst. And it looks cool (but not as cool as the M4 imo).

Cons: No red dot scope, not much power (same as the m4 and the qbz-95)

Verdict: Great for full auto and burst, has no red-dot scope, but it's still great upgrade as Spec ops will be getting points for destroying commander assets after patch.

My overall review, IMO (in my opinion, don't flame me) the G36C is the better unlock as a gun, but it's not much better than the m4, just less recoil, but no scope, but the DA)-12 on the other hand is probably the best upgrade from the original weaps, But it is only good at close range, so pick whatever you like better.

Okay, guys. Thank you. I really do appreciate all of your replies.

You all now have me set on the G36C. I'll pick the DAO-12/PKM (D'oh, another debate :P) for my 4th Unlock, Staff Sergeant. So, I would have gotten the unlock within 2-3 days, but since I'm leaving on vacation, I'll be ranking up in about 10 days.

I really like the DOA-12 myself.

Don´t underestimate the G3 , 2-3 shots to the torso will kill even an assault player and in single shot is very accurate at long distances .
I´ve sniped with it in karkand from rooftops and it´s very efective.
it´s main drawback it´s the small clip (20 rounds) i don´t miss the grenade launcher much.


PS: i´ve used it´s sniper version when i has in the army (the PSG-1) and it was the most accurate gun i´ve ever fired .

The G36C is a beats, ive been using it since about a month ago, and its excellent ay... Try it out man.

i think it will be the new spec ops gun for me as i like playing spec ops although the scope puts me off a bit. But i think its worth it as i can't wait for the newe patch where you get points for blowing enemy artillery and radar etc :)

G36C, L8, and DAO-12 are the only nearly-universally-revered unlocks. All of the others have strong camps of criticism that are, in most cases, justified.

I have the M95 and the Jackhammer I will probably get the DAO-12 next.
I would like to start sniping with the L85 though....

DAO-12 seems a bit more acurate than the Jackhammer, but the full auto makes up for it =)
