there is NO DOUBT in my mind that 1 shot tank kills are cheats
and if we see it mroe than once
(and we know ther is no C4 or other enemy)

Oh yeah there is also a one-shot-kill spot for the AT missiles but thats my (and a few others) little secret. It is much harder to pull off in-game though.

Didnt realise that, but my post still stands. Old posts are still good for people that havent read them before though, as you can see "topgungreg" posted 30 minutes ago and STILL hasnt worked it out for himself and other people suffer because of it.

I wasn't referring to you though Teaves or the all the other people that posted after BRUCE ALMIGHTY.

As I was saying last post before the thread died was by Sploitz made in 08-13-2005 while BRUCE ALMIGHTY for whatever reason bought this thread up 14 hours ago.

Edit- Old/new threads or posts can really validate facts but It's known that people believe what they want to believe. (E.g TK affecting score thread) I was simply shocked the polls were tied 50/50 the last time I checked it.

Again, nothing against you Teaves but some people just aren't willing to accept facts even when it is presented to them:/

i read somewhere that the tank one-shot kill was the spot underneath the gun mount on the turret. ie: when the tanks main gun is raised if you shoot the spot at the base of it under where the main gun joins the turret.
it was on a site where they did damage tests on tanks to determine how much damage hits to certain areas would do.

ive never been able to test it since i dont really know anyone else who plays BF2 - im not in a clan and i play to kill people, not socialize.
if afforded the luxury i try to aim for that spot or between the turret/chassis in tank:tank battles, but anyone that tells you they have pinpoint aim in tank battles - and can reliably hit a spot the size of an infantryman's head - against a non-noob or non-AFK target is full of $#!@. experienced tank drivers will not hold still while you line up your shot - and are forever moving, popping smoke, ducking into and out of cover to make their shots. YOU are moving as well, so i am very skeptical about someone hitting a tiny spot on a moving vehicle from a moving vehicle.
enemy tanks also often have enemy AT guys and spec ops running around as well. you are lucky if you just HIT one, let alone start worrying about what tiny spot you hit. in tank battles - unless the tank happend to bump right into my face around a corner - i just aim for the centre of the tank and lead slightly in the direction i think he is going to evade. anyone that constantly has the luxury of choosing what spot to aim for on a tank is playing against noobs.

You just need to position yourself on one side of him rather then face on, its worth taking the first hit and is relatively easy to hit the spot... its HUGE!
