tank one shot kill

yeah dude its pretty easy 1 shot 1 kill, the area to hit is like twice the size of an infantry head; not that small actually.

i wont tell you where it is; it'll remove the satisfaction when you finally find it. :)

btw ive tested it with abrams and it works but i dunno bout t90...(eg abrams can be one shotted but possibly not t90)

hint: it aint at the back.

also i havent been able to do it with anything other then another tank (eg tow, eryx, apc missile dont seem to hit the right spot even when u aim right at it)

Until a ever see more evidence than "I swear I was at full health and got one shotted, honest" I won't believe a one-shot-kill on a tank with AT rocket exists. Urban myyyyyth!

I ve done a 1 shot kill once and for me it was the base of the tank I guided it under the tank and made it hit the base of it

It's almost impossible to hit the tank in the right place for a 1-shot kill on multiplayer but I guess it must happen from time to time that people get lucky :)

Its possible these one shot kills are more in the area of a glitch in the game rather than something you can do as a skill. It may be purely random as to if it happens or not.

i did it !!!! one shot with m1 abrams tanks on a t90 at enemy spawn i think that tank had full health on the hatch so it work fine for me let see ive we can try that again

very easy to do if you get close up; seeing as the weak spots are at the frickin front.

7 of 10 tank battles i can win with a 1 shot shot.

I don't really believe you in all honestly. I play AT and Tank quite a bit and if there is a one shot kill that can be done via skill then virtually no-one in the world knows about it. I suspect this is more in the area of the issues where full health tanks can just blow up due to clipping issues. I would imagine if in proximity to certain map objects the tank may become more vulnrable to one shot kills.

The whole I know but I am not telling anyone thing I have seen many claim before and turn out to be crap.

Actually a 1 hit with a rocket makes total sense from above.

If you fire a rocket at a turret, it prob hits the turret 1 hit box, then the base of the tank a 2nd hit box. If aimed well you could scrap various hit box areas on the tank in one shot. CS:S had this, where you shot the hand and if it hit the hand and then the body you could kill someone in one shot with various weapons.

Just my pennies worth!

The sweet spot that some may be talking about is simply landing a shot on top of the engine, that takes 15 bars of damage out of a possible 20. Other than that, treads are the thing to aim for!

Comments, suggestions and all that welcome. If there's something you think is wrong let me know what conditions you tested under and I'll doublecheck myself, make adjustments if necessary. I will probably expand this in the future to include more combinations but for now, these are probably the most important.

I shoot at tanks from above all the time. It certainly does a lot of damage but no one shot kills on full health tanks. My method of defending flags is actually to find a high spot either on a hill near the flag or in a building and then fire down onto any vehicle trying to take the flag so when I say I do it all the time I really do :p

I think what is happening hear is false conclusions are being drawn about 1 shot killing an already damage tank that is just not damaged enough to show any external sign of it.
