Hi, my in-game name is triggerhappy1944 and I'm looking to create or join a squad (6 players max) to play with nightly. I live in sweden and I would prefer european (english speaking) players. I'm not really interested in a clan per say but just a tight knit squad who want to tear **** up on a nightly basis. The problem with clans is that they get big and are hard to get together on a consistant basis. Plus there's generally too much hierarchy involved. so if anyone is interested in helping me form this 6 man team, "Mount Up"!!!
Looking to join/create a squad......

Youseeme is right xfire is the best way b/c you can contact eachother and you can launch the game directly to a specific server from xfire. I'm not an expert with xfire although I do have it but I learn pretty fast. We can also use teamspeak to get coordinated. So for example we can contact eachother thru xfire then set up a teamspweak channel and then join up on a server. Btw, which countries is everyone from?Comment

Sounds interesting, I'm looking for some commited teamplay as well, getting bored with lone wolfing and non-functional squads. I guess it would'nt hurt if more than 6 people were interested, could always just create more squads.
(BTW, I'm Norwegian.)
Keep us posted on how you want to organize things!
CheersComment

Here's an idea, anyone who's interested send me a message on xfire and I'll add you to my buddy list. My name is triggerhappy1944. After we have six people then we'll set up a teamspeak channel perhaps around 8:00 pm GMT sometime this week and we'll hash out all the details together. Sound good?Comment

Hey Klatregutt, we were in a squad together a couple of days ago, good fun and teamwork if I recall correctly :)
I'd definitely like to join in on this "project", I love playing in tight squad with good teamwork. Especially on foot, setting waypoints and stuff, really working together.
In other words, count me in
One problem though, I don't have xFire as it wont work behind my firewall. I do use the BF2 Buddy list though - perhaps we could use this? Just enter the in-game names of your buddies in this tool, and you can easily see where (if) they're playing.
Whenever we're up for gaming together, we could just join the Teamspeak server and see who's there playing.
Oh, I'm Norwegian.. Would be nice with a Scandinavian speaking squad, but English works too :)
There's one thing though.. To wiltedjoint (and Klatregutt, and whoever else wants to join): how much do you play, and when? I play about 3-5 hours a day on average. I play mostly after work (17-23), but I also do some long-night sessions on the weekdays (until 1/2/3am), and especially in the weekends I like to play for 5+ hours straight.Comment

Cool, I'm normally at work until midnight when I play, so no problem there :)Originally posted by wiltedjointHey Berren, I play about 2-3 hours per day usually starting at 8:00 pm. Can u disble ur firewall while u play?
I'm not using a software firewall, but it's a hardware router which controls our connection here at work. Unfortunately I can't disable it because of the security risk.
However, I've added you as buddy, and I can now see you whenever you're online - and where you're playing. You should try this web-based tool out yourself, it's very easy and fast to use.
I think we need some sort of communication in-between the squadmembers, when we're not playing - like a forum or something. I can have a look at this.Comment

You know i think we're on to sumthing here. Instead of a clan forum we can have a squad forum dedicated to those that want to join a squad instead of sum huge 40 member clan that have egomaniacs for leaders. This forum could be home to all kinds of squads each with they're own name. Think mini clans.Comment
