Hi Berrern, you're right, I was in your squad, excellent teamplay :)!

I play for about 2-3 hours a day from about 19:00, but in a good team I wouldn't mind playing more. I guess we could try to define a "prime time" when we might expect to find eachother online and ready for action.

I'll try out Xfire today, and I have already added you guys to my BF2 buddy list, so I'll keep an eye out for you tonight :) .

I really like your idea about a "squad community", wiltedhunt. I'd be willing to register a domain and set up a forum (and a web-based chatroom?) for this cause. There are some nice domain names available, like bf2-squads.com :)

You know i think we're on to sumthing here. Instead of a clan forum we can have a squad forum dedicated to those that want to join a squad instead of sum huge 40 member clan that have egomaniacs for leaders. This forum could be home to all kinds of squads each with they're own name. Think mini clans.

I think you're right! Among those who enjoy the teamplay aspect of BF2, on one hand you have clan members, on the other those who just randomly try to find a squad that actually works as a team. The clan concept sounds a bit too organized for me, I like to keep it loose :). As you point out, we need to bring together those who belong to the latter group. The more the merrier, we can always just create more squads and spread out on several servers if it came to that (but judging from the response to this thread, that shouldn't pose a problem just yet )

oh yeah and wiltedjoint, im up for joining a squad. Theres no quality squads out there that I have come across. There was one which i was playing with last night led by a guy called Crimzint and #2 man Commodus only a three man squad and we were in the top 3 of our team 98% of the time. So a squad is the best way to go unless you like going solo all the time.

Ok, the chatroom has been set up.
I didn't have much time @ work today, so I only put together something very very basic - just so we can get a game going today.

I'll try to get the domain ordered tomorrow, and once that's online I'll install a better chat script, plus set up a nice forum :)
