I would say to put the leaning function in, but fix it where CoD kinda failed. If you lean, there should be a 50% increase in cone of fire or recoil. If you are leaning, your back and stomach muscles are using bloodflow that would be use to stabilize your shot from the arms. Hey, I have to put logic in there somehow. :)

Useless feature, this isn't AA, an army simulation.

I honestly don't see it is needed in BF game. I just don't think the combat is that slow paced that you would ever use the feature.

I like lean and would like to see it in any FPS that has the slightest pretense toward realism. Personally the only games I can see that are too fast paced for lean are UT and Tribes.

Apart from the red flashes on the screen which indicate the direction you were shot from . Plus it takes 3 to 5 shots from the pistol to kill, giving 3-5 indications from which direction you are shooting  .

Before you mention headshots=1 shot kills. It makes people jump more if they hear a loud BANG before they die

All naysayers need to play something like NOLF2 or CoD to see how it works- it works FINE and adds to the game.

I say no. I don't like when games have a lean feature, a fast pace game like BF2 doesn't need one.

BF2 Definitely needs lean. Especially when the SF comes out.
The game play can still be the same, with the run and spray or you can truly hunt down the enemy. Nothing like having a new challenge to meet, with a slight change of game play.
For those of you how don’t want it, don’t use it, and remap your keys back to the way they are now.

But don’t have it so you can run & lean at the same time, that’s lame, just like the hopping all over when getting shot at, smacktards.

i would like leaning too, but they have to do it well. like in SoF2 people would have lean scripts that made them lean when in a firefight. while leaning, you were harder to hit because the hit box got screwed up or something. if they can do so people can't exploit it then yes, if they can't then don't even bother. too many exploits as it is.

i agree with daz leaning would only be another annoying function it would make it clumsy but still i could see how a sniper or a unit trying to hide would make use of it
