Second Unlock: PKM vs M95

Don't get an unlock that will make you go out of your way to use it. If you don't play as support often, don't get the PKM. If you do, get it.

If you play as sniper often, then get the M95.

Get something that you will actually be using and that will help you when you want to use that kit.

Between the two, I'd go with the PKM personally, but I'm not too fond of sniping...

Guys stop misrepresenting what the PKM can and CAN'T do. You are not going to bring a chopper down with one PKM unless its damn near on fire. You need at least two PKMs to do enough damage as one mounted .50cal.

I sometimes wonder how many of you actually use the PKM because of how much misninformation being spread around (i.e. the PKM can penetrate chopper cockpits, does as much damage as .50cals and take down choppers on its own).

The PKM is going to overheat at least 2 times before you do any significant damage to a chopper. If you're shooting at a chopper you're just gonna annoy the pilot and have him look for you.

I think from what you've said, and with my own experience with both weapons, you probably ought to go with the PKM. Sure, its popular, but why is that? because its good! its pounding makes people change their dacks. Even if you cant bring down a chopper single-handedly (and i have done it) it does enough damage to make the pilot bug out ASAP.

As for the M95, well you said you do quite well with the M24 and the Dragunov... like the song says, 2 out of 3 aint bad! and if you can master the dragunov you can master the type 88.

So on balance, i think the PKM is the right choice for you.

m95. if the patch comes out that improves that gun, you're going to be sorry you'll have to wait until the next rank. and you'll be stuck with a gun you can just pick up off the ground and isn't that much better than the standard issues.

my 1st unlock was the g3 and my next is the pkm (i think they are the best 2 guns)

Thank you professor. I've never read where people have claimed it'll shoot through cockpit windows and of course it can't take down a full health chopper either.
As far as annoying the pilot goes, it's a 50/50 chance as to whether they realize where the fire is coming from or they just take off out of there. Most of the time if the fire is coming from below, they'll high tail it out of there and go somewhere else. Bluff is a big part of the game when you're outgunned from the air.

i was one of the lucky guys who got all their weapons unlocked on ranked servers a while back. I took that chance to mess around with all the guns and IMO the PKM is absolute rubbish. It absolutely murders at close range but anything medium range and further, dont dream of killing, even when proned and using single shot. I am about 3000 points away from sargeant and plan to unlock the M95. I have already unlocked the L85 and the Spec Ops G36C. Both of these are awesome guns, especially the g36c which is ridiculously accurate even at ridiculous ranges and has virtually no recoil. If you play spec ops, i would highly recommend that unlock over any other.

^--- You do know that the M95 is less accurate than the M24, and it has the same damage per. shot, right? Don't get caught up in the "it can shoot through glass" debate. That works maybe a couple times and then the enemy team makes sure you do not do it again.

I think we are going to see adjustments with all of these weapons over time, next 2 unlocks will be the M95 and PKM you just never know if they fix the M95 in a patch, witch is possible, watch out.....

Well i play lots of support but only with the MEC because mec support gun is way stronger than saw and other crap.The PKM is way stronger than that too. I Picked up a PKM from a fallen comrade :) It rulez I imediatly shot like 3 people from my balcony in like 30 seconds. Its like a 2 or 3 hit kill. I cant snipe so when i got the sniper i just picked up thekit and was in the middle of a fire fight so i died. GO with PKM it rulez only if you can handle it though
