No major mod's have been released as of yet. However there are many well worth the wait coming soon. As for Desert Combat I personally thought for it's time it gave Battlefield 1942 a new boost and brought many new players who would have not checked out the game had it not been for the modern combat. Keep in mind a lot of gamers are tired of the entire World War II theme and I would suspect after Call of Duty 2 comes out we might see a rest on the entire WW2 subject. Like Desert Combat brought new life to BF42 so will the many great mod's and expansions coming for BF2

Personally Im waiting for Project Reality mod. It will make the game more realistic, and hence more my style. No damage indicators, realistic damage, ballistics etc.

first off, the textures and models are just gorgeous...the retail bf42 skins looked like toy plastic in comparison. the kits are amazing. each one is ultra unique and no weapon is useless, you come to gather a respect for each one's potential power while realizing its weaknesses and role in the game. also for some reason, FH spawns more teamplay than any other BF mod ive ever played. whether it be that mostlly whoever takes the time to work at and learn FH is usually mature enough to encourage teamplay, or the way the kits and maps are set up, everyone has teamplay on their minds. the maps....ohhhh the maps. each map is a masterpeice in that each one is not only a looker, but that they're usually balanced and complex and FUN!. i cant really explain, ive simply just taken up forum space and your time reading this. the only way you can understand why people love FH so is to play it. imo, it has the sweep, scope, and feel of call of duty's single player, only in multiplayer form. just go out and play it damnit.

Find the PR minimod for BF2. Increased weapon damage, reduced stamina, less ammo, modifications to the commander mode, AND FIXED AA. Try it out. Better yet, just host a new server with it. :)

POE 2 will be the best mod for bf 2. If you played poe for bf:v you know what i'm talking about. They have more skill than any mod team out there.

Wait no longer mate, PRMM v.02 has been released and already has quite the following.

PR has completely changed the way BF2 is played. Accurate and powerful weapons make moving around the battlefield something that actualy requires thought. The new gamemode AAS is awesome and really concentrates battles to levels of intensity never seen with vanilla BF2. Non-team players rarely last long.

The modelers, skinners and coders are all fantastically skilled and make a great team. Take a look at some of their work with the Little Bird which you can fly in the current version.

Future versions will include an entire new army with unique weapons and vehicles (British) plus much more.

Best of all, it's free! Download it now and see for yourself. www.realitymod.com

BTW - Sorry about the huge pictures! I just thought it's best for you to view this work in as high resolution as possible.

Well although the mod I'm working on hasn't been released, definately take a look, we have a TON of talent on our team and we are getting more by the day.
