For the record, no, that's not. The reason is because the prior day, a monday, was not a very nice day, thus few people would be outside, the more people outside the more shock value would be achieved, which is truly what the entire thing was about, moreso than killing people, making a huge spectacle of the U.S.

Eh, ok. First off 911 and 9/11 are not the same thing. DarkShot already said that the name was based on the emergency phone number and he also said that he will most likely change the name. Please READ the posts.

Also, what do you want us to do? Should we BAN the movies from the 80's, action movies, with van Damme and Wesley Snipes as well? Those that had to do with planes being overtaken by terrorists? Please.

By the way I find your post to be full of hypocrisy, considering the fact that you play a game about WAR - you enjoy killing people but oh no, hi-jacking an airplane oh no.. that is just not acceptable as a game.

I for one support this idea, it sounds like fun and different from your typical BF gameplay. You mentioned the level in Perfect Dark, I also wanted to do this in BF42

Could you try to be a little mature?

If done right it could be a great map.

Another interesting route to take would be stages to the level.

Part 1: Terrorists attempt to seize plane. If they succeed go to 2a. If they fail go to 2b
Part 2a: Terrorists land plane at airstrip and demand fuel. The civilian team is swapped for SWAT or Special Forces
Part 2b: Civilians land plane in desert and come under fire from terrorists on the ground. Using seized weapons the civilians must defend the plane
Part 3a: Terrorists take off again. SWAT members snuck aboard the plane during 2a and are going to retake the airliner. They must avoid killing civilians/NPCs or suffer a significant point loss.

One problem that I see is all of the civilians getting up and trampling the terrorists as soon as they expose themselves. Noone is afraid of dieing.

Should also give the pilot a pistol. Revolver or low capacity automatic.

Believe me you don't want any firearms into an airplane if you want to keep it realistic. And this thread has gone way too off topic and politic. If you keep this and only talk about sep. 11 this thread will be locked. But i like unique ideas for modding.

It would be great if the setting was prisoners vs. guards. If you've seen the movie Con Air, you know what I'm talking about

Yeah but if you fire a weapon in aircraft when it's high it will make a hole into it and depressurize the cockpit.
