You know turning off AGP fastwrite in my bios helped me for some reason. I also upped my AGP Aperture like you guys to 256. You can only up it depending on the amount of both memory ram and graphics card ram. I can't do 512 mb without slowing things down -- 256 works well for me, but I bet you guys could go to 512 mb fine since you have 2 gigs of ram. How much onboard memory is on that X850XT?

I have a simular setup. Make sure the card isn't over heating first off. Secondly, make sure you're running Cats v5.7 (5.8 due out soon to take care of BF2 problems). Also, your terrain and geometries have to be set to medium until the issues are resolved (again supposed to be in 5.8). I have my settings maxed, and I mean maxed, and I get 60FPS on an underclocked X850XT PE (until the heat issue goes away).
