Haha, I really like these people that get ATI chipsets and then put a Nvidia graphics card. You do realise you're giving up a performance boost by doing that?

Match the video card maker with the chipsets and you get like a 10% boost or something.

Yah...I did not realize that at the time.

well the problem has started again for me. It seem thats after about 3 weeks I get 2 weeks of stable play and then it reboots 3-4 times before I can play or sometimes it just keeps rebooting!!!

What exact card do you have Roger?

My cousins' machine does the same hard reboot with and ATI 9800se softmod w/Omega's. I haven't really tried to fix it as I'm lazy and he isn't complaining much anymore. He'll play for an hour or so then reboot and rejoin and play for 20min and reboot. etc. etc. Maybe I'll look into his issue and post a possible fix, if I find one.

Does ur patch installation went good ,no errors?
U might need to refresh ur vid drivers, there's some more recent in the nvidia's web. Change ur vid card w/ friend's if u can to teste this option, it maybe faulty.

What power supply do you have? I am guessing mine is rebooting due to lack of power also.

I had this happen to me over and over for a long time. It hasn't happened for a while, though. Not since I started OCing my system, actually. These sorts of problems seemed to go away when I boosted the voltage on my RAM to overclock with.

Sometimes deleting the folders in the cache and then defragging can help, too. I delete my cache before every time I load it, and it seems to run better when ever I do that.

edit: boosting your RAM voltage can also take care of those ATI "VPU Recovery" messages, as well.

Well, could be ur PSU, but in that case u would see occasionaly some blue screens.
Can u change ur vid card, with any friend's of urs (even if different).
Ram issues also can produce occasional re-boots... How much do u have and it's speed?
Have u changed anything in ur pc's bios?
