    Joysticks: better or not?

    I bought a logitech joystick "extreme 3d Pro Twist Handle"

    -Seems good I can do barrel rolls very easy... heli is kinda diff to control.

    Do you all like mouse better or joysticks?
    Does anyone have this same joystick, and if so how's it perform?

    I have that joystick, I love it. A joystick is a must for flying planes, IMO. I use it for choppers as well, it is a bit harder to hover than when flying with the keyboard, but you will get used to it. It's also easier to maneuver and evade stuff in a chopper with a joystick.

      I agree

      Coincidentaly, I bought that exact same joystick yesterday and I love it. I went from a below average pilot to dominating. The ability to keep a continuous turn is priceless.

        I've got that stick and really like it for flying the jets. I still stick to the mouse and keyboard for the choppers though...

          I don't use a joystick. I can control the heli and jet just fine with the mouse.

            heli = keyboard/mouse
            plane = joystick.

                I am a very good heli pilot. I get about 80 points a map when im using the BH or attack chopper. And I have used everything. Mouse, Joystick, gamepad, and I have found that the easiest way to fly is to use nothing but the keyboard. Its just so much easier in my opinion.

                BTW, I know I sound like an idiot here, but what does "IMO" mean. I read it all the time and I never knew what it means. Thanks

                  im thinking of buying this joystick, but one question about it. when the `lever/throttle` is completly down is it in netural or does it make the chopper go down? and i agree at the moment, joysticks are much easier in planes, but wen in a chopper i find keyboard and mouse easyest (though my current joystick is rubbish)

                  i dont know wether to get this one or

                            Well i have a Saitek Cyborg EVO (with wire). It is amazing brillient for planes and perfect for choppers. just takes a bit of practice with the choppers, imo it is def worth getting a joystick.
