Any good Scary games?

Can anyone recommend any scary games that are out on the market right now? I have played Doom 3 and it made me jump a few times but nothing more. CAn someone recommend me something scarier than Doom 3? I tried FEAR single player demo and I liked it a lot, scared me to hell.

P.S. I need it for PC.

Well if Doom 3 was supposed to be the "scariest" ...then no there probably isn't any other good scary games. Doom 3 wasn't even scary for me...just another run and gun kill demons game. FEAR on the other hand made me shout "Holy sh*t!" a few times.

Silent Hill. Especially the first one. I'm not sure if the first one is out on PC though. There was this game about escaping executions, and these ghosts attacking this prison, and this guy on death row turning into a monster... The enemies were cool, but once I turned off the sounds, wasn't scary anymore. Then again, I'm a REALLY easy scare.

I remember I had Silent Hill for Playstation. That game was very scary for me back when it came out. It was my second scariest game. The first one was Resident Evil. Those games were scary for me 'cause I was like 10 - 11 years old.

kind of offtopic:
the first time i played Resident Evil i was pretty young, but the funny think is that i entered a room pretty slowly, saw a zombie **scared to death** kill the zombie, pause the game, and hang out in my parents room for a good 5/10minutes, and then go back to my room again... i spent like 6 months playing that game until i beat it :P

horror related gaming reached its peak w/ silent hill 3 for PC. much scarier than doom3.
get that, you wont be disappointed. seriously, go get it. now!

Did anyone try Silent Hill 4: The Room?? I have tried the demo and it was pretty neat seeing the weird dude come out of this black stuff, looked very nasty.

yeah i had it on xbox. its crap next to three. what you saw was one of the only scary things about it, the room hauntings were cool.
the bloody footsteps, the thing coming out of the wall, the childs shadow in the closet, the man in the painting, the cat in the fridge etc.

o.o Bahh! I <3 Horror games...so I know. Yes...I would recommend the Silent Hill series. They are all really good. SH3 though would have to be my favourite...it scared the hell out of me. It gave me nightmares.

I tried the demo of Silent Hill 3, it gave me good memories of the first one. I think I'm going to go and buy it sometime next week.
