Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
easy tip, if you see a hill or any objects dont fly too low. I dont know how many times I've laughed at the idiot or two who try and fly low just to bomb my poor tank only to find they missed and theirs a mountain which they cant pull up from.
Another tip is dont let your pedal off of the gas for too long, if you go near 350 you start loosing altitude and it rapidly increases. You need to step on the gas and hope you can pull up which in most cases you cant.
oh when i am commander i like all my pilots to fly like a bunch of retards and crash into the ground, each other. Of course my favorite pilot whores have always been the ones to gank a plane just to get to the other side of the map. its nice to see people actually trying for once.
when I fly I make my own squad and lock it. that way I can get orders from command. that makes it easier to find good targets to bomb. other then that just practice, lots and lots of practice.
Experience is the best teacher here. Once you get good at it, the only things you'll ever need to worry about is a friendly missle steering toward you and trees.

Or a big mountain 9'o clock out of your sight and you suddently decide to turn hard left...
yea look out for missles at any time...when you get the lock on sound and you nearly passed the target, just make a big turn and try to get locked on again...
heres something I'm working on. just whats done. Dont take it yet if you want to, just wait for the full guide, I'm still working on tricks, tips, and jet stats...so heres a preview of what I've got! (oh and I use some language, sorry but its me, and if I violate anything, I'll edit it up  )
BATTLEFIELD 2 - JET PILOTS GUIDE

I simply am throwing together a random list of tips and tricks I've found usefull in my short time as a BF2 Pilot.
This can be used by anyone, anywhere as long as the content is not changed and remains under my name as the creator.
So, you wanna be a pilot huh? ...Oh, so you wanna be a GOOD pilot...well hell, I'll help you to be a GREAT pilot, just read the tips, practice, and remember to always be willing to take advice from others in the game...here's the short assed tips so far.
1. BUY A JOYSTICK.
Seriously, after using a mouse and keyboard to learn the basics, hopping over to a joystick will boost skill tenfold. Really, this will become a permanent in your BF2 arsenal.
2. WATCH YOUR RADAR.
This saves your life, and keeps you in bounds as much as possible. I know your gonna be busy to make sure your dodging that F-15 on your tail, but hell, your a soldier, have the balls to look away for a second. The radar will help you know which direction the battlefield is when your climbing, diving, barrel rolling, and wing tipping those commie bastards heads...Seriously, this is actually one of the top tips you can get, this will save you from coming back down outside the map and suffering that damned punishment.
3. USE YOUR VIEW KEYS.
This is most useful to spot those pesky bogies on your tail, shaking off missles, and watching to see if that recent bombing was successful! You can use your rear camera to do all of the most useful tesks, I find that out side cameras are most useful just to watch yourself doing some cool fly throughs, and the fly-by cam...well gives you cool fly-by views! haha, So if you have a joystick program the normal F9 and F11 buttons onto it so you can quick switch without slamming around on your keyboard in a sickening attempt to hit the C button and begin the ever-so-easy/very-f***ing-annoying task of camera cycling.
4. PRACTICE DOGFIGHTS IN SINGLEPLAYER.
I find this to be useful just to bone up on some skills. Start up a single player game with some expert bots (Operation Clean Sweep is good) and practice your dogfights. A great/sneaky tactic to use is remaining with your bombs equipped and working your way behind a enemy jet, they wont ever get a lock-on unless you switch to missles, and you can easily wipe the prey out of the sky with your machine guns (they are surprisingly effective really, get used to leading jets with em and you will be happy they included what some find to be a useless weapon, and they hardly even notice the bullets whizzing by their ****...pits) Also, when trailing a enemy, and you know you can get a lock-on without losing him, switch to missles and blow those foreign wings off!
5. LOCK, MOVE, FIRE!
Okay this is really something that sames you a trip to the airstrip, and makes the enemy jet into just another bird being smacked across your windshield! The trick here, is to lock onto the enemy. Newer pilots have a bad habit of releasing their flares way too early, and as soon as you get that lock, they tend to realease it. Trick here, is to let them drop'em, but move your plane so that the flares are away from the targeting reticle, and just capture the plane back into a lock-on, so you can drop him without worrying about wasted missles. After you've got him locked in, let em rip, and pray he isnt too good at maneauvering.
6. KAMIKAZE BIRDS.
Yeah, not good for the score, but if you run out of ammo, and feel confident that you will die anyways, dont be afraid to switch to your bombs (which I assume would be empty) and locate a vehicle or preferably, a group of vehicles, and teach em a lesson in hurt. Fly your winged ass down into their vehicle, and pray there's enough kills in there to cancel the suicide penalty! I have taken out a group of 3 tanks by this. Often, when you hit one vehicle, it will hit another, and when it explodes, teamkills rack up...which is a beautiful thing...well..for you!
7. EYES AHEAD!!
Alot of pilots get into a bad habit of watching the ground or sky for enemy movement, and find themselves slapping into moutain sides like a spaghetti noodle onto a fat mans third chin...so watch your surroundings, keep tabs on any nearby obstacles, including mountains, towers, trees, cranes, and the like. Know the terrain of mountains, and how you can avoid touching it, especially if your flying sideways and pulling up (basically turning hard) Know just where you have to turn rightside up and pull your self up a mountain side. Really, just practice and become familiar with maps and your flight routine...hey guess what the next tip is...
8. DEVELOP FLIGHT ROUTINES.
Yeah sounds all formal and whatnot, but really it isnt. Just fiure out what your gonna be doing according to the enemies tactics. If you can a enemy bomber knocking out your tank convoys, then cruise around the airstrip, he is bound to reload within a few seconds of the bombing. But thats where the problem lies. See how you can predict what he's gonna do after his bombings...guess what, your enemy does the same! So find a routine, but have it with alternatives, mix it up a bit so they cant catch you as your returning to base, and wont wipe that smile off your face cuase your the "Bomb King" Trust me, having a enemy waiting around for you is no fun.
9. LEARN TO LAND.
Alot of people put no effort in this, and just bail out when their done...well dont. See if you get good at strip landings, work your way to terrain landings. This way you can land your jet around a mountain or a base thats not very occupied at the moment, and (if your a Spec Ops) throw some C4 on it and run away. This way if you see some fool of a enemy try to make off with your jet...blow his sneaky ass to shreds, then continue on your foot journey to gun blazing glory!
10. LISTEN!!!!
Now the screeching noises from an enemy lock-on, the sounds of artillery in the distance, and the blaze of your jet engine are all beautiful and enshrouding in every way, but **** man get over it and listen for the stuff that matters. Learn to hear the sounds of enemy bombers bombing bases (lol tongue twister for ya!) Listen for choppers chopping and jets...jetting...ahem... and track the sounds for your kills. Im not saying drown out the sound of an enemy locking onto you, but listen for sounds other than that too!
11. HEAD SWIPING!
More of a fun trick, but its bound to get some people to give you props. So your buzzing around and see enemy infantry running around. Dont be afraid to hit get low and do some decapitating. Really its VERY fun, but you gotta know when its safe to do it. Best times are when enemies are at the end of an airstrip, running around a base (some have open areas) are on the top of a building, or are, well, in a generally open area. Learn to stabalize, and learn when to pull up, you dont wanna swipe an enemy, and then in your nerdy-assed-self-congratualatory 'w00t!' smash your self into trees or a building.
12. THE ANTI-DIVER.
Haha, this is a personal favorite. So an enemy jet pilot bailed from his jet and is now parachuting slowly to the earth...HIT HIS ASS! Not only does it make for a good laugh, but adding roadkill into your aviator stats always makes you smile!
13. SELF-PRACTICE.
Create a local server, and load up a 64 player map. Practice your moves on this alone, work on memorizing the layout of maps, and get used to hard maneauvers. This is a good example and can help yuo find some good escape plans incase you do have to bail out.
14. E IS YOUR FRIEND!
Bailing is something used by few, surprisingly. So many pilots are too busy running to watch their health/armor bar. Watch it, and if you hear multiple lock ons and at least 2 hit...bail. Hopefully you can drag a dogfight out of the main map area, and parachute to somewhere safe that you can take cover. Also, if your sniping, and you know your gonna go down, I usually work my way up...straight up off a mountain or hill, and bailing as you notice your jet slowinf down as you really climb into the clouds. Land on the top, and snipe enemys from there. (snipers tip: I myself am a sniper, and a great tip, down lie at the crest of a mountain (I.e. on the top part where they can see your silhouette against the sky) instead lie in a darker/shadowed/covered area on the side, this will save them from spotting you, and if you take a shot and notice they look back and near the moutain, hold off on firing again, your muzzle flash will give you away in an instant!
oh sry for dble post. but if I can ever get it to actually join a server again, I'll glad take you in for some lessons!...but gotta wait until my game stops being stupid!
and feel free to scream at me for anything you guys dont like or any errors you find...sure there are tons, I wrote this up fast so far...but just scream your head off...I'll hear you, I PROMISE!
