How do I check to see how much power supply I have?

It should be listed on a sticker on the PSU itself. There will be an indication of total wattage and then a breakdown of amperage on each rail 3v, 5v and 12v. If there's no sticker you'd have to use a Multimeter and alot of math. I don't recommend the latter. Sometimes you can look up the specs on the manufacturer's site also. -

Well his Mobo would have to have sensors that check for amperage as well as voltage inorder to come up with total wattage, and I don't believe they do. I could most definitley be wrong. You could try a Google search.Comment

What's your motherboard BDFtaylor18? If it's ASUS then you may use asus probe to figure out your temps, voltages, and such. Many other brands offer similar programs.Comment
