1280x1024 - how?

They're average FPS and you also have to take into account the rig they run the tests on. You may have a better and or more compatible platform, although they tend to overdue the test rigs so the cards don't become bottlenecked by another component. What are your specs tomster?

That was what I found odd because my specs aren't wonderful.

EDIT: I honestly don't know how I get the performance I do with what I have.

You're a lucky SOB too. Those tests in the article are from the Demo which from what I understand was more demanding the the full version. That may be why you're seeing such better performance.

lcplsickoll, what kind of ram do you have? I have Corsair value ram -- my two sticks of 512 mb came in one package and totaled $80. I'm thinking about getting another stick to make 2 gigs and wondering how much of a difference it is over 1 gig. I bought the two sticks together to do dual channel, only to realize that my mobo doesn't support dual channel .
