help me become a tank whore

I guess the other option would be make your sensitivty insane to turn the turret every second, but then it would be much harder to aim while moving. Better off just usin it as the killing machines they are and leave cappin to the infantry.

here's what i usually do:

*i hop in a tank and go around the map looking for people to kill. however, i rarely find them (say, in a map like songhua stalemate) and therefore, not enough kills/points for me.

*if i do try to cap a flag (while circling around the map), i don't last for more than 10 seconds. usually, there are one or two AT guys around the base plus one of those AA missiles (sorry i don't know the name) plus a BH will come etc. etc. etc.

how do i get a bunch of points (like 30 and above) while in a tank? do i pick a base and defend? should i NEVER try to cap an enemy base? should i follow other tanks around? should i go near an enemy base (but not cap it) and just keep firing hoping i'll hit someone? any tips from you tank experts would be much appreciated. and yes, i do play as an engineer so i can repair my own tank.

get in a tank, be an engineer, go near a spawn point(one where alot of action is going on) and spawn them. ive gotten about 6000 points from this. and when you see your team getting a flag rush up to go and get the assist. if therer is a guy that you cant see but know that he is there (if in APC) shoot the floor next to him. if in main tank shot a rocket at him. (if in Main Tank) if you see a tank far away aim ALITTLE higher, there is gravity.

Anyway here's another tank tip, press the sprint key (default shift) to activate hydraulics and use the numerical pad to raise and lower the tank treads.

when fighting other APCs or tanks, light em up with your machine gun, then fire one tank round at them. DONT MISS because if you miss they will have the advantage temporarily and thats all they need to destroy you. Once you fire the tank round, assuming that youve hit them, pop your smoke, back up, and change your position a bit so that the enemy wont know whre you are unless they luckily see the red tag.. once your tank round reloads, drive right through the smke and pop him once again.. It should take only 2 tank rounds to kill an APC and i think 3 for another tank. but you still have to use your machine gun!
