Is it just me, or does anyone find it really hard to use the t.v. guided missiles on dragon valley (especially to take out enemy helis) because the sky is far too whitish and bright to actually see the t.v. guided missile crosshair? Does anyone know a way to get round this problem? Id love to be the co pilot for my clan but I just can't cope with the T.v's on Dragon Valley (the main heli 8v8 map!)

i duno, i never play that map.. i dont think ur really supposed to use the TV missles for choppers... ive only used them for ground vehicles..wouldnt it be hard for the chopper to angle correctly to get the TV to even point at a chopper? -

my main gunner has TV'd COUNTLESS helos. Last night on one map we went 4-4 vs. the MI-28, and they had a really tough pilot. Of those 4 kills, 2 were TV only, and a 3rd was TV and std. missles pounding it....
I'm not sure on that map though, I'll make sure the 2 of us play it over the next day or so and I'll reply back....last night we didn't play that map.
But yeah, TV's are great for helos. 1 shot kill to a BH or Attack helo, no matter how many engineers are flying in that helo :) :) All the pilot needs to do is angle the nose up a bit so he can get it off...flying too low or angled too far forward will render your gunner's #1 weapon useless.Comment

Its really easy to kill enemy helis with T.V's, its just on Dragon Valley it is so hard to change the direction of em in the sky to the enemy heli cause you generally (if the heli is farily high in the sky) can't even see the T.V guided missile crosshair!Originally posted by shotgun2thefacei duno, i never play that map.. i dont think ur really supposed to use the TV missles for choppers... ive only used them for ground vehicles..wouldnt it be hard for the chopper to angle correctly to get the TV to even point at a chopper?Comment

no idea. in fact, i havent encountered the problem before. i guess if i ever start to lose track of where the crosshair is, i move my mouse around rapidly. sooner or later it'll cross something darker than the sky and then u'll have your crosshair back.Comment

TV has in-flight guidance, it is the BEST anti-copter weapon in the game, if you're competent in its use. Copter vs. copter, it is the only quick kill, anything else is a squaredance with rockets and guns, which just gets both of you trashed by aa or jets.
I always go for the high ground in a copter vs. copter battle, which makes the sky in dragon valley a non-issue. The background is usually a flag base or a helipad, not the sky.Comment

I reccomend keeping it in the center position and think your way to the target. Its not the spoon that bends, its you that bends.Comment

its easy to sneak up on another chopper hover capping and give it a tv missle to the face.Comment
