Is your most played map KARKAND?

Im probably once of the few people who dont like KARKAND (I know im Crazy) even though its my most played map. Thats because I just cant avoid it, no matter what server I join its either the starting map or the next map after that.

Plus I really hate when some1 goes and takes the FLAG all the way in the back without even fighting for it. Most of the time this ruins the game for MEC. The map Setup is supposed to be head on fighting, not go take a flag while no1 is there than go to another flag and do the same.

Any1 fell this way? and do you also feel that this map is played out?

It's fun, but not 24/7.

I get the most joy out of defending the easternmost flag. Set some C4 and wait.

This game needs more people defending, IMO. This would eliminate "flag hopping." Maybe make the "Defended CP" points higher.

And no aircraft makes the map so much better. :)

Yeah I agree with him too, if people actully defend flags maybe the game wontbe over thats soon!

not for me, I like almost every map, love kubra dam the most I think, also dragon valey and fushe pass.

Karkland is great, but not the greatest for me, think lots of people play it because you can crore big time on the map

Good map, need more like it. Matsubar City is also good.

you dont need to pad or stat whore to get a good score on this map... Just chuck a few grenades in the beginning of the game and you should already have a decent score if you know where to throw... Also, if youre good with stealth and timing, then you should do great on this map.. I personally own on this map.. A lot of players just rambo face to face and get mowed down like nothing.. If you be more patient and took tactics a bit seriously (even though it is a game, i understand that) then you would have no problem owning it up. Just through some well placed grenades, and find good spots to prone and keep on shootin.

Its a great map but not my favourite and not my most played. I dont usually join a server specifically for a map, ill check for good pings, no side stacking, decent teamwork, honest players etc and just enjoy whatever map happens to be next, if the match becomes boring or whatever ill switch, but not because I dont like the map as much as another...you'll only become bored with Karkand if that is all you play imo.

I have 127 hours on Karkand lol

it's the only good map for infantry...mastuur is too open and nowhere to hide from tanks, sharqi is ok but there's not enough teamwork going on there and the helicopters are annoying.

actually gulf of oman is fun on small with 32+ players but barely any servers run it

well, thanks for the tip, but the point i was trying to make, was that its ok to have this as your most played map and not have people think 'urrg stat padder'

still, hmm i dont really go overboard with the nades on it, only when im assaulting a flag throw a few in first to flush the enemy out. I like to play Medic if im in a squad, coz i can keep the squad alive and still fight back. If no-one i know is on i'll usually go spec ops and C4 the first flag, hide in an alleyway till it goes white and then BOOM!

I love urban maps but Karkand is really starting to grind on me now, as the OP said... people who just bypass all the action to take flags at the back just annoy me.

Sharqi is a much better layed out map imo and Mashtuur although unbalanced is also nicer and usually less frustrating imo. I think Urban map cycle tends to attract the higher tier gamers (as they know points are gonna be averaging alot higher than normal maps usally) so it's just frustrating more anyway.

My most played map is dragon valley, we got our server .. then it was patched with ill fated win mem leak patch and kept crashing around the end of Dragon valley so would restart the map :/, and I hadn't got to grips with the server control panel at the time. But I still think my favourite map is Sharqi. :)

Once the tools come out, im redesigning Karkand ... or just do a second part of Karkand city, so the bases are inline roughly and the side streets are the only ones you can go down to take the flag points apart from the main street, rather than being able to sneak down the side of the fences and sneak a CPC in then attack from the rear.
