it could be a bug with the text thingy... like, maybe he shot you with whatever weapon, but it showed up as [knife] if you know what i mean

I was firing on an APC moving up a hill, next minute the APC had disappeared without a trace. I just put it down to LAG!

I reckon its a bug saying he knifed you when he shot you. I was flying a helo, & had a gunner in the front. Some player in a helo shot me down, & it said he killed me with an AH-12 but it said directly after he killed my gunner with a MIG !

The servers get weird sometimes and you were most likely killed by someone else but he got the credit.

I have watched my teammate kill someone and gotten credit for it (even showed up as a hit on my crosshairs but I wasnt even shooting). This has happened about 6-7 times to me. Playing as a sniper I tend to watch a good amount of firefights :)

Almost everyone must have experienced this glitch at one time or another.

The game said i killed a guy with a M203 grenade launcher when i was sniper once.

The thing is i shot a guy that was hit by the launcher round at the same time.

But i havent noticed any kills when i didnt do anything but this has probably happened to me before as well.


It's a bug/glitch. Some day people will report this to EA/Dice and they may find the problem. I blame laggy servers and poor netcode.
