A friend of mine who also plays said the person running over the mine should be charged with a suicide and I agree with that as well.
Teammates running over mines!! FIX IT EA!!!

The game is very new and there are a lot of people that just don't know how to play yet. The game's documantation isn't very helpful either.
Guys, if you see a red skull, don't drive over it!
I don't really care to much about scoring points. If someone drives over my mine, I just lay another one. Let him kill himself, it's not my problem.
On a side note:
Mines should just stay after you're dead. It's annoying to place those mines over and over again.Comment

I completly agree with you,Eng is useless, teammates doesnt seems to care, but when they die on your mine, they punish you...annoying and dumb,i hope EA will find a way to fix it,because Eng class are fun,and like you said,it's the best defend class.Originally posted by SelecterI am so sick of teammates running over mines when I play eng. Almost all my TK's except for 2 times have been caused by mine Tk's where some freak jumps in a kart and goes racing off for his next cap, except he didnt see the mines I just put down *AND WARNED THE TEAM ABOUT IN CHAT* 15 seconds ago!
Seriously, mines are the best way to prevent APCS and tanks from getting into your base - but how the hell can you ever use em when your teammates keep blowing themselves up and punishing you?
Dice has added skulls and mine markers but they do no good. The ENG class is the best defensive player in the game - or WOULD BE if he got some cooperation.
I think Dice should just admit defeat and turn off mine damage to friendly vehicles in game becuase right now the ENG class is seriously crippled and it has been that way since 1942. If you cant actually USE the tools of the class it makes it worthless.
Anyone else here agree DICE/EA should turn off mine damage for friendlys? I think so. It's not real but it's not fair to those of us who like to play as ENG's to always be held responsible for IDIOT teammates whose object of the game is to run around in go karts from flag to flag as fast as possible without regard to whats around themComment

I totally agree with your friend - that's the way it should be. :nod:Originally posted by SelecterA friend of mine who also plays said the person running over the mine should be charged with a suicide and I agree with that as well.Comment

seems a lot of people point the finger at the engr for blocking the roads, well, just so u understand, engrs drop mines in defense, they die like the rest of the classes, and the flag changes, then the friendlys jump in there vechicles and boggie on down the road right into the very mines that stoped the opforce and enabled the good guys to get the vechicles that they drive into the mines, only difference is that the mines have a warrning on em so the good guys can avoid, but what the hell, that apc isnt spawn camping anymore, so lets blame the engr now.Comment

Engineers are just as bad as the players in my opinion - they plant mines in stupid places so nobody can get out of the base.
Also on several occasions, i've zoomed towards a set of mines, realised they're mines... bailed out so i don't give them a TK and my FAV has gone into the mines - exploded and caused me to TK them insted... and they've punished me for doing them a favour!Comment

Well your're not doing them a favour, when bailing your sorry behind on them, they cant steer in the driverseat... :pOriginally posted by Bad_BoyEngineers are just as bad as the players in my opinion - they plant mines in stupid places so nobody can get out of the base.

Soldiers are aware of friendly traps, guerilla tactics involving a stealthy unit effortlessly dodging their own tripwires, pits and explosives while the enemy has to traverse slowly or rushes into the traps laid for them.Originally posted by yunsb33if you step on a mine would it check if it is your team or not... any kind of proof that you are Ally or not?
Due to this being a game where communication and coordination is dumbed down to "SayTeam: lol noob wtf", disallowing friendlies triggering traps even though they move directly on top of them would be the most prudent, plain and relative gamewise "purism" for the reality guys (loosely, soldier instincts or somesuch unrelated to the player's) and "funism" for people who are otherwise hampered by poor trap placement and/or bad drivers who can't swerve.Comment

Thats the whole point - they drop them at the entrance to a friendly base at the start of the game or something - so nobody can get out and cap flags without ditching into the sea or something... i'm only refering to the n00b engies here, i'm sure there are plenty of people who are good.Originally posted by mombatoubad boy, very few engrs just drop mines in the midle of nowhere.
Well its either i drive into them and give them -4 for my mistake, or i bail and i get -4 for my mistake... so how is that not doing them a favour? and just because those particular asses where idiots they gave me -8 for my mistake insted... its so... urgh, just unfair.Originally posted by HablocWell your're not doing them a favour, when bailing your sorry behind on them, they cant steer in the driverseat...Comment

I agree so ever much with Charlie !! :)Originally posted by CharlieI think the actual Team members that run over the mines should be punished for their ignorance....
At the moment I don't play Engineer that much - eventhough I love that class.
Just hate it when my score is wrecked by a n00b that runs over my mines. They should really be punished.Comment
