The medic unlock, the SA-80 is a nice rifle.

If you like playing medic, unlock the L85A1 then. It would be a waste if you unlock a gun you aren't going to (maybe) use.Comment

I went for the assualt upgrade i can't remember what its called. And yes you do lose the 203 and yes it only holds 20 shots but it was well worth it as its very very powerful and more accurate than the M16 and i dont really use the 203 anyway as i find its not very good it doesn't have a decent 'spread' when the frags explode.
For my next unlock though i'll be going for the special forces gun :)Comment

G3 all the way mate. Only downside is no nade launcher, but packs a wallop anyway. Best on single shot at medium range, I could be wrong but I think that the only gun that is more powerful per round is the m24.Comment

Well, maybe it's just me but when using the L85A1, I feel like Milton in Office Space...instead of "Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler", I feel like saying "Excuse me, I have been shooting at you for the last 10 minutes. I believe you are supposed to die now..."
Too bad that there's no Milton class in this game (yet)...Comment

You know, honestly I think the silenced pistol is better than that gun. After you shoot someone at a distance with it a couple times, they generally don't die and just turn around and kill you... its recoil doesn't make it that accurate either...
However with the silenced pistol, they generally can't figure out where you are or let alone whats hitting them, plus the recoil isn't bad... you can hit someone 10 times or more with it before they figure out where you are, plus its actually really accurate, its one of my favorite weapons :PComment

g36c is good too, I'm really happy with the G3 though... still deciding on what to unlock next.. I wish I could find more AT and engineer unlocks lying around so I could test them more.. I wish they would of put in a better rocket launcher for the AT unlockComment

Upgrade what class you play with most. But on the other hand, if you are planing on playing a class more, might be wise to pick that class, give you another option to improve.Comment

A better rocket launcher would be nice; might get more damage assists that way.
I just unlocked the DAO-12 though (AT unlock), and I am quite pleased with it. It's a brutal semi-auto shotgun, with lots of ammo to spare (unlike the Jackhammer). Sounds very intimidating too. And it fires *fast*, as fast as the Jackhammer I think, just that you have the click the mouse button yourself. Kills very quickly. You can even use it at a slight range, I get the odd hit and it does a lot of damage. It's also IMO the biggest difference from the regular gun of all the classes.
If you want to try the unlocks first, I think this server lets you play with unlocks: mlkclan.com . Also, there's a single player crack, but you have to be very careful to change it back before playing multiplayer or you might get banned for a week.Comment

shriven hit the nail on the head, pick up kits! I'm going to unlock the G36C next because I've picked up that kit a few times and have loved that gun. Really not every weapon is an 'upgrade', just different. I pick up kits all the time seeing if it's an unlock I can play with. I'm happy I do that because with all the hype the medic kit gets, I would have unlocked that one next and been stuck with a BB gunOriginally posted by shriven

If you know how to aim then go with th L85A1
If you lke armor and helis more then ground pounding go with the G36c
If you get pissed of when you shoot a guy 3 times and he dosent die get the G3
If you like big guns get the PKM
If you like to sniper (then u must be stupid) get the M95
If you use the AT kit alot get the DAO-12
Just dont get the jackhammer!Comment
