    Rolling back to 77.30 nVidia drivers also did the trick for me..no more crashes in commander mode..they were the ones inlcuded on the BF2 CD/DVD..

        Lol. Just after i got it working with 77.30 drivers, the new 77.77 WHQL drivers were released so I decided to install them. Back to same crashing problem.. =|
