I was on a Kubra dam server yesterday (not with my clan) and we actually had something like this going.
I was support, we had 2 medics, 2 anti tank and 1 assault. we were the best aquad in the server for four games. i had to leave as we were starting the fifth but im sure we would have been best again. too bad the rounds didnt last long enough, i could have gotten that squad ribbon.Comment

I find it interesting that noone has answered this question as it is just as important as what other kits should be in the squad.Originally posted by Tweak_SFONice ideas, but one other question. What class should the squad leader play and where in line should they be in formation.

I think playing assault as squad leader is a good idea for a few reasons. The object, of course, is to stay alive so that the squad can keep spawning on you.
1. Smoke grenade
2. Versatility
I play support alot as squad leader, but it is not always the best kit for it, because you become a prime target when laying down that noisy suppressing fire. Anti-tank can also become a prime target. You really don't want that tank aiming at your squad leader, do you? You want the medic to revive the squad leader, so it's better if the SL is not a medic.Comment

I think the sniper/support squad is less intended to generate mass kills and more intended to generate masses of info, so you'd just have the one sniper fire like mad and stay supplied, with the support guy keeping him supplied with ammo and claymores.
Most of those squads seem 'okay' in principle, though I have to say the full squads they described are too generic to really impress me, if I have a group organized enough to form those squads I can also put together a squad which is tailor-made for what I'm doing (so, if I'm assaulting a CP on a map like karkaand, I don't want two AT guys, I'm going to want an extra assault or even medic with me. Meanwhile on a tank-heavy map like the bigger versions of Kubra, I'll want mostly AT folks holding a CP because most of the attackers are going to be in armor (and we'll have enough of our own armor/jeeps laying around to make up for the reduced anti-infantry power of the squad itself).Comment
