How much money did you spend on new hardware just because of BF2?

Since I bought the game i have bought a new

    1. Razer Diamondback Mouse = $60
    2. New keyboard (old laptop style was straining fingers) = $20
    3. 1gig or ram (dual channel) = $120

    Total = $200

I pretty much spent as much money buying a console just to play 1 game. Kind've pathetic now that i think about it because i wouldnt have ever bought this stuff if it wasnt for this game. BUT, my friend in the other hand dropped $1000 on a whole new computer JUST to play BF2.

you cannot include the mouse and keyboard simply because they inhance nothing for your system, only options and looks. The ram can be included in what you are talking about because it is necessary for the game, the mouse and keyboard are not. I spent nada on upgrades cause my computer pwns joo.

But i wouldnt have bought it in the first place if it wasnt for this game. I played so much that the keyboard was straining my fingers because of the small laptop style and I had a logitec MX310 that i hared for gaming because of the annoying moon shaped curve on the sides.

          specifically for BF2..

          - BF2 (Game): $50.00
          - Saitek x45: $90.00
          - Logitech Headset: $30.00

so roughly $170.00 on BF2 and relevant equipment..

I bought my new rig just before BF2 came out, but mainly coz my old rig had had it's best days. It was an AMD1800+ @ 1.53 ghz with 768MB and an Sapphire 9600 Atlantis. That computer is now spending it's golden years at my ex.

My new rig (called Brutus btw) has an AMD 3500+ Winchester, 2x 512MB dual channel, and a Club3D Ati X850XT. Two accesories I esp. bought for BF2 are a Razer Diamondback and a Razer ExactMat. That set me back around 100 euro (125 US$).

$50 For a MX 518. One day, I plan to low 3.5K on a PC that will last for ever. 1/3 of it's cost is CPU, an AMD FX-57 costs $1,100. Next most expensive is the $600 video card.

                        logitech headset - $20
                        1 gig of RAM - $147

Battlefield 2 experience finally at medium/high - priceless.

                            $0

I guess that's why I'm having to suffer with below-Medium details on my 9800 PRO. I'd about kill for a X800 or Geforce 6800-series card.... I bet it'd look great with everything turned up.

Hmmm.. spent zero. I'm waiting for 7800 Nvidias to come down in price.. then again, I'll have to buy a new motherboard, and processor, and RAM, and... oh hell, I'll just build a whole new system!
