dude logitechs are too overrated. Im my humble opinion I would get the Razor Diamondback just for how the mouse is shaped. Logitechs are way too overly ergonomic for gaming use. you are constantly moving your fingers and not just your palm in gaming. That moon shapped groove your thumb sits on doesnt really have room to move around. Personally, when i try to get those tite aim shots where i have to move the mosue slightly I pivot my thumb and second finger to move. pivoting the wrist makes aiming hard. I have a logitech right now and it pisses me off when i try to move the mouse slightly but Its hard to do because the mouse is so damn big and too ergonomic. You want the least contact to your thumb. A mouse needs to be slim and manuverable to aim good. It doesnt have to fit snuggly right on your hand, thats only good for multipurpose destop apps, not for gaming. Im picking up a razor today or tomorrow.

MX1000 is still king, unless you are the unlucky lefty.

So I read that to see if it could change my mind and the only thing he hates it is because he cant hold the damn mouse right. I still think you have more control of the mouse if your thumb is in contact the mousepad. You have more control of the mouse movement for precise aiming. Your hands fingers should be free to move around and not "ergonoimically" molded where you have to move your mouse only with your wrist.

I have it and I absolutely love it. I really find a lot of use for the on the fly adjustable DPI. When you hop into a tank they make it disadvantaged by having the turret move slowly but all I have to do is crank the DPI and you cant sneak up on me >=) Its also sometimes helpful if you just want to scan with the sniper sight. I personally love the mouse but as with all user interface elements of a computer the most importent thing is to test it for yourself to see if you like it.

something you should be warned about with the 1000 model is that if you lift up the mouse it will have a period of lag where it has to repick up the laser light which is usually about a half a second to a second. Doesnt sound like much but in the heat of battle every little bit counts. So if you pick up the mouse a lot like I do, you dont want to get that one =)

LOL, I love it, the Logitechs are over rated? The Diamondbacks are seriously overrated. First off I have had 3...no wait 4 logitech mice, and all of them still work to this day, one of them is seriously 8 years old (an old trackball mouse). I have the MX310, and it more then does me good in-game, never a hiccup of a missed movement.
