Oh my friggin god, this tk bug is killing me

Firstly it shouldn't happen at all ever. Even the pilot shouldn't get a TK. A jet on my own team flew into me once while I was hovering the bhawk, he even shot at me as he was closing in. He killed me and everyone else yet I was given a TK for the jet pilot and he punished for it.

How moronic can it get. This is stuff they better fix in the patch because it's driving me nuts.

The TK punish system is there to give human beings the option to decide what was accidental and what wasn't and stop it being automatic. You should NEVER punish an accidental TK. It's meant for if someone on your team wants to ruin the game and blatantly stands in fron of you and kills you or chucks nades directly into your team etc. That's what is was designed for and it's being absused by ****ing morons.

They should make people take an IQ test before being allowed to play this game so we can send the retards back to hacking in CS.

Can anyone explain to me why this would occur or how is it possible? On TWO separate occasions the following has happened:

I am in a fully-loaded blackhawk, first time as a door gunner and second time sitting in the back w/my wrench out. Then blackhawk crashes, once by hitting a building, the other time by colliding into a enemy chopper. One both occasions I have been assigned a TK for every passenger. WTF??? I'm not the pilot. What on earth is going on here?

I think that BF2 is either assigning all the TK's to the 1st person to die or it's assigning them to whoever was closest to the object that caused the crash. This is incredibly irritating, and then to top it off, there's always a few jack*sses that TK punish me too.

I think the tk bug happens when ur the first to get killed. I was in an attack chopper as a gunner, the pilot rammed into another copter, I got credited for the teamkill even though I didn't do anything, he punished me and called my mom gay. Yeah, I really don't like that bug. Plus the guy was like 12 years old...

For example in the above example where the flaming reckage of an enemy helicopter landed on a friendly and the destoryer of the helicopter got TK's. If that reckage instead fell on another enemy chopper and you got the kills for that (which you would) would you complain? Would you consider it unfair if you did not get those kills?

Ahhh yes, BUT the enemy kills do not punish and get you banned.

I would not be bothered about the extra kills either, as I play for fun, not for points.

Also the onus of responsibility is on the above cobra pilot. When I shot down the enemy there was nothing beneath the wreckage. Then some :censored: didn't look where he was going and flew into a falling wreck :wall:

When you are driving your car (dare I say it "In the REAL world"), is it not your responsibility to ensure the safety of your vehicle. Or do you just say "f**k it, won't watch where I'm going and if I crash I'll sue everyone for getting in my way"

IMO - this is the #1 problem with TK'ing. Sure, the system stinks, I've shot randomly at a helo with a shottie, only to get 2 tk's later when the pilot plows it into the ground.

However, the fact that people hit "punish" WELL BEFORE anyone can say "sorry" or even type in an explanation bothers me to no end. Its as though there are a group of players out there that are hitting pd dwn as soon as they are tk'd. They don't even think to look at what happened.

I lay mines, type in chat "WATCH FOR MINES" and still get tk's, most of which I get punished for. I'm to the point that I'm now using mines as though a SO uses C4, I place one in front / behind the vehicle, and then once its blown up I have to take the time to wrench away the 2nd mine before some nub runs it over and punishes me - again.

I certainly hope the people that frequent this board are a little more lax with punishing when compared to john q. public. I don't like being punished, therefore I hardly do it myself....

I agree, TK's need to be changed. I had two last night.

1- I was laying on the ground firing away at an enemy across the street. I was right at the edge of a building at the corner. A teammate runs right in front of me from around the corner, must have been low on health because he died right then. Punished

2- I was in a tank and a team mate runs right into the tank, dies, Im punished....WTF?

whats worse is those idiots who believe its their god given right to a certain vehicle (namely planes) so they stand right in front of it, or run in front of you on purpose just so they can punish you. Those flaming homos need to be dealt with, they piss me off to no end.

I'm with you on the mines thing. I like to play support most of the time (I'm lousy at one on one combat). So I lay mines to make it hard for the enemy to get around. Everytime I am the engineer, I get punished to the point I am kicked. This has happened two times. Perhaps, they could make a clearly visible mine to friendlies unpunishable when they run over it.

What about a limit of two teamkill punishes per round per person? Maybe that would lessen the "noobie" punish factor..

Its not the teamkills that bother me.. Friendly fire does happen. Its the idiots who are so quick to punish you because they dont know what happend.

If its not some guy coming up behind me and blatently killing me on purpose. Then I'll probably forgive you for it.

Yesterday, my squad was defending a flag, and there was some enemy spawn camping, and as a support gunner at the time i had the m-60? Either way i sprayed bullets in his direction only to have some guy spawn right in front of me. Punished for TK but i did end up killing the other guy. Shortly after this guy i accidentally killed. Hunts me down, finds me on top of a building, stands right behind me and shoots me in the back. :hmm:

Yea, that's what pisses me off the most. People seem to punish just because they can, or just because someone punished them a few minutes earlier. It's a viscous cycle. You have smacktards that have posted on the forums saying they punish no matter what.

In my hours playing, and all the times I've been teamkilled, I've punished probably less than 5 times? Once when a F15 bombed me while I was in a boat in Clean Sweep because I know those show up on his HUD as friendly and I had just spent 2 or 3 minutes motoring across the water. I was coming up on the beach at the 2nd flag and saw someone in the stinger thing and was just about to switch to the front gun to start shooting him. I guess the F15 also saw the manned stinger and decided to just blow us all up and accept the collateral damage. Apparently this was ok with him because my single punish caused him to be kick banned so I suppose he had bombed a couple other friendlies.

Weapons don't always fire where you want em to, so I forgive. It'd just be nice if others would be nice in return. Bunch of selfish people playing the game and I primarily blame the ranking system.

I've seen a couple suggestions on changes to the system that would be nice....not sure what EA has in mind, but the 2 ideas I saw were:

1 - limiting the # of punishes per person per map to a specific #

2 - when someone is tk'd the message is more detailed: "x player tk'd u, he forgives xx% of the time, and punishes xx% of the time, press page up to forgive, page down to punish" something like that...

Approaching a flag on Songhua Stalemate, rolling along in my APC. I spot an enemy APC getting ready to roll out so I pound it with missiles and rounds. It catches fire. The guy bails. He rockets me. I catch fire. I bail.

I run around the building he's behind. A rocket comes at me! I jump. Misses. Prone in mid-air. Fire. He's dead. The flag is mine.

I hear a buggy. I ready my rocket. They're friendly. That flag is definitely mine. They drive up to the APC. Get out. *Boom* goes the previously flaming APC.

Kicked. Banned.

So yeah, I'd like this changed too.

This happened to me too. A tank was hanging around our 1 flag picking off tons of people on the ground, so I switch to AT and take it out. Of course it sits there flaming for a min, and right before it blows up, 2 guys seem to run right next to it while on fire, it blows, i get punished for tks.

Of course I ask, "why did you punish me for that" and their response is "cause you killed me you ****ing idiot!"
Then my response wasn't so nice, mostly commenting on their stupidity to run right next to a burning vechicle knowing it would soon explode.

Ticked me off so much, since ive had it with all the tk punishes, that i just go find em with a sniper kit, walk up right behind him with the m95 and a shot in the head at point blank BAM, got punished again but damn it felt good
