Oh my friggin god, this tk bug is killing me

Can anyone explain to me why this would occur or how is it possible? On TWO separate occasions the following has happened:

I am in a fully-loaded blackhawk, first time as a door gunner and second time sitting in the back w/my wrench out. Then blackhawk crashes, once by hitting a building, the other time by colliding into a enemy chopper. One both occasions I have been assigned a TK for every passenger. WTF??? I'm not the pilot. What on earth is going on here?

I think that BF2 is either assigning all the TK's to the 1st person to die or it's assigning them to whoever was closest to the object that caused the crash. This is incredibly irritating, and then to top it off, there's always a few jack*sses that TK punish me too.

    WTF?? Somebody explain please.

it is a problem though. why should you get kicked from a server because the blackhawk you were riding in (NOT FLYING) crashes into a building and every asshat on the helicopter decides to punish you for a teamkill.

Same thing with stray missiles.. locks onto your enemy.. you fire it misses your enemy and goes straight for the nearest fully loaded transport copter. Boom.. 6TK's and all punished.

Most people dont even use judgement when punishing.. they just see the "You were team killed, do you want to punish" msg and hit Page up. They dont even look at what actually might have happened.

something happened to me yesterday that pissed me off. I hijacked an enemy tank and was heading toward a flag. Someone on our team mistook my tank for the enemy at long range.. which is fine. He shot at me, hit me.. didt a little bit of damage.. so thinking he is the enemy.. i shoot back, hit, and kill all 3 of them. Boom.. 3 TK's and all punished before I could tell them i was only returning fire because i thought they were the enemy, just as they did me. *sigh*

I was in a linebacker and was shooting down a chinese transport helo.

I actually managed to kill the chopper which was AMAZING....I mean AA shooting down a chopper......imagine that.

                Anyway back on topic..

As the twisted, mangled, burning, flaming (I'm just enjoying the moment :nerr: ) wreckage fell from the sky, it landed on a fast moving cobra of my team at a lower altitude.

                TK................WHAT?
PUNISHED......oh come ON!!!!!! It was wreckage fallin on ya, ya kn*b! I didn't shoot ya. If ya had ya EYES open. :censored:

Unless it's blatant TK for personal gain I ALWAYS forgive. I mean Tankers cannot see behind em, Stingers are notoriously bad tk'ers, sometimes grenades go astray :hi: Arty sometimes catches you by surprise (specially when in a car and you think "I can get past before the shells land ")

What a great feature, do a random tk punish for chopter point rankers. Lets see, in a chopter as an engineer, fully loaded. I bet you were not capping flags either. I think its a neat feature that you got all of the TK's.

Approaching a flag on Songhua Stalemate, rolling along in my APC. I spot an enemy APC getting ready to roll out so I pound it with missiles and rounds. It catches fire. The guy bails. He rockets me. I catch fire. I bail.

I run around the building he's behind. A rocket comes at me! I jump. Misses. Prone in mid-air. Fire. He's dead. The flag is mine.

I hear a buggy. I ready my rocket. They're friendly. That flag is definitely mine. They drive up to the APC. Get out. *Boom* goes the previously flaming APC.

You have been punished for a teamkill.
You have been punished for a teamkill.

                    Kicked. Banned.

So yeah, I'd like this changed too.

It does force a whole lot of additional responsibility... Not only are you responsible for destroying a vehicle you are also responsible for any incidents that occur beuase of that destruction...

They could take that out, but at the same time it would remove the possiblilties for "multi-kills"...

For example in the above example where the flaming reckage of an enemy helicopter landed on a friendly and the destoryer of the helicopter got TK's. If that reckage instead fell on another enemy chopper and you got the kills for that (which you would) would you complain? Would you consider it unfair if you did not get those kills?

Another example, you see a group of enemies stood around a buggy and you have the AT Kit what do you do? Well you fire the rocket at the unoccupied buggy and blow it up, the explosion of the rocket does not kill anyone, but the explosion of the buggy does and you get the credit for the kills. The same think allies if you where the one to set fire to the vehicle and it burned for a while before exploding.

Basically, any way you can get credit for an enemy kill, you can get credit fo a TK as well.

Question is do we want the opportunities for taking the credit for kills (enemy and TKs) reduced? Or should we take responisbility for our kills and beaware of friendlys nearby (or underneath) what you are blowing up...

Actually yes we were capping flags.. and we were flying from the carrier to the flag. We would hover over it and drop out.

Its not the teamkills that bother me.. Friendly fire does happen. Its the idiots who are so quick to punish you because they dont know what happend.

If its not some guy coming up behind me and blatently killing me on purpose. Then I'll probably forgive you for it.

Yesterday, my squad was defending a flag, and there was some enemy spawn camping, and as a support gunner at the time i had the m-60? Either way i sprayed bullets in his direction only to have some guy spawn right in front of me. Punished for TK but i did end up killing the other guy. Shortly after this guy i accidentally killed. Hunts me down, finds me on top of a building, stands right behind me and shoots me in the back. :hmm:
