It´s an MG3 and if we would be realistic it would be quite hard to use in BF2 because you really should lay down, if you want to pull the trigger!
On the other hand it would be fun to see supporters flying all around the maps because they try to use their MG3 while standing on their feet. :laugh:
When I shot it, I was quite surprised how accurate it is on single-shot. But gee - it´s a heavy bastard!
But we shouldn´t forget - we talk about a computer game.

Yeah, shots would go all over the place, i remember Day of Defeat, using the Mg42 was horrible when not prone and deployed, after a millesecond, it would go to the top of the screen. BUt it would be nice as a stationary mg, it would accurately spit out like 1200 rpm, but it would overheat fast, but still, imagine a squad taken down in one second due to the mg 3.

yeah, airburst grenades would be at TOTAL noob gun. The reason our troops arn't going to be armed with it is because it is so frickin heavy, the XM8 was made from the XM29 OICW project. But still red dot scope for the XM8 would be so awesome, no more spec ops for me if they gave the assault XM8 as an unlock, plus, it's in the future, so it should be there. Plus maybe the SCAR would be good, even though it is made for special forces, it is clambered for both the 7.62x39 round, the 7.62 NATO round and the 5.56 round (not interchangable though) they could give it the 7.62NATO version and only have 20 round mag becaus that's how it would be in RL. Plus they could make it more accurate than the G3, basically a more accurate G3 would be awesome, or a G3 with a nooblauncher.

They scrapped the system. Its being spread out, if they decide to continue with it. Its too heavey for infantry soldiers and they dont liek all the batteries (from what I understood) The assault part may be replaced by the XM8 or the Barret M468 system, whiel their working on an XM variant of the Airburst Grenade Launcher system. Face it...its dead. LAnd Warrior has more life than the OICW does.

Note that the FN F2000 is NOT the OICW, allthough it is very similar.

But i was just trying to round it off as a decent weapon with a grenade launcher, IMO i think if we were chosing just anything i would go for a SIG 552, or a HK53/HK33.

ok, the guy never even mentioned the FN F2000. He mentioned the XM8 and the M468. So what's with the FN F2000. The XM8 is not the OICW either, the KE part is actually a G36K with no butt stock. But yes, teh Sig552 is a nice weapon, but i would prefer a Sig 550, the 551 is the carbine, the 552 is the commando version, and the 550 is the full size AR.

Simple, either:

1. Give assualt class the ability to dual wield weapons

2. Give the assualt class a bot that coops with the player

3. Just give them a flamethrower

One thing is for sure though, I would like to see more, more, more, more weapons in the game!
