This would have been the most logical as crazy as it looks, it has a 40mm grenade launcher, and it takes m16 magazines and is 5.56x45mm like the M16A2 and Ak-101.

But i feel it would be the ultimate weapon. Grenade launcher, assault rifle, and scope. It does make all the other weapons look pathetic. ( It is an unlock in socom II so dont say its unrealistic.)

oh yea...completely forgot about the XM8. ive seen videos of a guy firing it on full auto with just one hand. the damn thing has like no recoil!

They scrapped the system. Its being spread out, if they decide to continue with it. Its too heavey for infantry soldiers and they dont liek all the batteries (from what I understood) The assault part may be replaced by the XM8 or the Barret M468 system, whiel their working on an XM variant of the Airburst Grenade Launcher system. Face it...its dead. LAnd Warrior has more life than the OICW does.

Actually i think the XM8 or the G36 would be nice. And you could put a grenade launcher on it, give the XM8 a XM320 GL and the German equivelent. They would have lots of accuracy and still have a GL, the official german AR is the G36 now, not the G3 anymore. And they would come with scopes, the G36 comes with a 1x sight for regular shooting and a 4x scope for longer ranges, the XM8 only has a red dot scope, but it's still better than what the Assault has now. That would be great, but still, why don't they up the number of smoke grenades, tanks and apcs have unlimited ammounts, but have to reload, Assault has 1, and it's not nearly as good as the tank/apcs, the only good thing is it produces lag for people with crappy vid cards.

Wow, thats a really bad idea well done. Karkand would become an absolute nade spam joke...its heading that way already and this would be the icing on the cake. Plus its hardly an assault weapon now is it?

nice mg suggestion, i duno if that's a mg3 or a mg42, but both are good, considering that they shoot at 1200-1500 rpm, so that would be great, that was nicknamed shredding canvas because it sounded like shredding canvas to the recieving troops, and also, those mg42 were pure death to the troops at D-Day. Those are also 7.62, but they are newer than the PKM. And they have a lot higher firing rate, and as i have read they are quite accurate.

It´s an MG3 and if we would be realistic it would be quite hard to use in BF2 because you really should lay down, if you want to pull the trigger!
On the other hand it would be fun to see supporters flying all around the maps because they try to use their MG3 while standing on their feet. :laugh:
When I shot it, I was quite surprised how accurate it is on single-shot. But gee - it´s a heavy bastard!
But we shouldn´t forget - we talk about a computer game.
