    Why BFHQ's rule setup sucks...

On a RANKED server, every night, then it takes a lot of effort (10 patient people) to get it started with the 10 man rule. On top of that if you get 10 people in and one dc's, you get stuck back in the standby mode. Seriously EA, you're killing us who are paying top dollar for your servers... Best setup I can think of is to allow gameplay and normal flag capping and ingame stats, but don't track the stats globally from the game until theres 10 people in.

That's not the issue. The issue is GETTING IT STARTED AGAIN. Look how long its flatlined for :\ And thats ONLY because 1 or 2 join, realize theyd have to wait for 8 more and say **** this. Then a few more join and leave, and its just a constant flow in and out because of the 10 man rule to start. I know we're not the only server with this issue.

Ours is even worse, we sometimes go days without actually getting a single person on other than some of the clan trying to get it going. Before the 10 player limit our server was full 18 hours a day.

Yes it is ranked. I've also talked to the MPUK staff (multiplay uk where all the UK ranked servers are hosted ... all 175 of them now) and they said it will be remedied in the next patch or so they are led to believe, I can only hope so or I will not be continuing my contract with them as there is no point in paying for an empty server.

                  Here is the BIGGER Problem!

                  Ok....
You have people joining 7, 8, 9, and then finally the 10th player joins - WTF
The game is not starting, then 11, 12, 13 Still NO GAME STARTING

What happens is that since this "Hard Coding" of players was added EA screwed
up. When you go into a server you are not asked to join a side so people just
run around in "Free Camera". Until you join a side and pick a spawn the server
DOES NOT KNOW YOU ARE EVEN THERE

So, you could actually have 32 players on a server and the game NOT START

We deal with this all the time on our ranked server. EA/DICE are TOTAL RETARDS
They miss the most basic mistakes in programming, it is almost laughable

I love this game but I HATE EA/DICE, They could care less about the community
all they are interested in is releasing the next piece to the game so they
                  can get our next $50.00

BITE ME EA/DICE - YOU SUCK

everyone has the "dont show empty servers" box ticked in ttheir browser.
once your server is empty for the night ,getting yourself back on the radar is a chore..
i find myself having to seed the server with dummy accounts on dummy machines to get enough people in for others server browsers to notice..
its ridiuclous.. they need to make it so gameplay can continue, just no stats untill capacity is reached.

it IS a difficult issue. however, it's the necessary evil at this point to prevent the cheesey stat farmers.

I think the Hzc guys should start coming on our vent so we know when we have enough people to get it started.

i think the 10man rule is a good thing... because if it wasent there then you would get 2 3 or 4 ppl in there exploiting... but ya it is hard to get it started up again because no one wants to wait...

DUH, it already does that. when you join and it says, waitng for xx people to start, you can still freefly run around and play with the other peeps waiting, it just doesnt track anything, ie kills death etc.
