Ok, First I dont know you, I dont know how good of a modder you are, I didnt know you even modded. So until I am until these facts have been revealed to me I wouldnt know how to talk to you. Have you tried making the mine? You are basically saying that because one person tried it its impossible? I obviously dont know? Actually I honestly and obviously do know, I just dont have to prove it to you. In anycase, I was not trying to be rude or disrespectful in any way. Maybe we can get over this disagreement and try to make a spawnable landmine work. I have several other ideas besides just turning it into a vehicle.
If you have other ideas, then please, give them. Im just saying, many people(not just one) have attempted this. As much speculation that goes on(which sounded promising, too), it never panned out.

And no, I havn't tried. I understand the code pretty well though, and it just doesnt seem like it would work out. Please, though, this is one time I would love to be proven wrong.

Ok, another idea is basically the same thing as what happens to your vehicled when you crash into the little red barrels. They cause damage, only the damage from the mine we could have directed towards only the vehicled, or for more realism just totals everything in its radius.

i wonder if it would have been possible to make mines go under the ground like in real life, they coule maybe implement it by making the mines invisible when it hits the ground so it would look like it went underground, this will definatly be something i do once i make my own map

Oh yeah, one way is to change the collision mesh so the mines actual mesh is below the collision mesh.
