What are your 12V amps rated at?
I had sound looping when my CPU would freeze mid game and my power supply sucked donkey-nutz.
You should have 22+ Amps on the 12V rail to run a 6600GT and 25+ for 6800GT. 20A will run it, but the above would be better.

I know how to check the volts in the bios but how do you check the amps? I was thinking the same thing but I have a pritty stable CompUSA (made by Antec) 500w and have almost exactly the same set up as the original thread poster.

White...I've got the exact same problem you have. Same board with AMD 3000 and ATI x700 graphics. I tried Airborne's fix linked here:

...but it didn't seem to work for me. I will say I am able to play NON-PB servers with no problem but I prefer to have a greater selection to choose from. Like Battlefield said above, I also hope they fix this issue with the next patch but I'm convinced that C60 Airborne was on to the issue being a Punkbuster issue. Until then...I'm screwed.

          |Use the http://drivercleaner.net and remove traces of nforce drivers (If you wish)

          Solution:
Simply download the new NVIDIA nForce4 drivers for you motherboard chipset! For the AMD its driver version 6.53 (not the beta version). Surprisingly no freezes!
Just follow this link to get the drivers:
          http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Thread mentions 6.53, but they aren't the latest drivers anymore 6.66 was released on July 15.

Quote ...Nvidias did the trick. I played all night with everything cranked to the max. If you are having stuttering/rubberbanding issues just turn off your dynamic lighting and shadows, but if you are getting the hard locks where you have to hit the reset button do yourself a big favor and update your chipset drivers from Nvidia's site and not your boards website. Thanks for the tip EuqirneSelbor!! Works great!!

Ah ha you got me, no don't do that then. (as Gunny Highway a member of this forum has said in another post) Go to where you would normaly get drivers from ( nvidia ) and do the above but for/using the nforce3 drivers for your nforce3 motherboard.
BTW Gunny Highway is the one to ask about this in a PM maybe?
