We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Hye guys, sorry if this has been posted before, but if you uninstall the game to reinstall to get rid of the 1.02 patch, how do i go about preserving my profile?
Or when i create the account again, will it just recognise me as who i am? and not log in due to the username is already being used?
Uninstalling using Add/Remove will leave your account untouched (Though, there may be an option to change this when uninstalling).
If, however, your profile is mystically deleted, there is an option called "Retrieve Account", in which you simply put your name and password in, and the profile is back on your computer. You WILL have to reset your video settings and control settings if you changed them, but all your stats will be the same. (Your stats and account information are not saved on your computer, they are saved on EA's Servers, so you will never lose them, unless EA deletes their servers.) The only thing saved on your computer is Single Player settings, and your Options.
I would try and copy this C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Settings and once u reinstall pate it back instead of the new one , it used to work in BF42 .
EDIT: sry typing too long, no replies when I started.
The Profile is located at ...My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles
just copy that dir and you'll have all user specific settings.
If you then copy them bakc after reinstall your old login should be on the login screen.
So there's no need to create account again. Even if you didn't keep settings, you could just use the Retrieve Account option in the login screen to get account back, it won't get your user specific settings like video, keyboard, just login info.
Uninstall procedure will also ask you if you want delete your old profiles etc.
