Yeah, that's my favorite instance. I just get done placing artillery on the other team and I get killed, and suddenly I am on the team I just bombed the heck out of...makes sense?

I was autoswitched after a guy killed me when I was dropping mines.
That guy with a full buggy immediately ran over my mines and got me kicked.

Wrong. I was switched as well when I was a leader of a successful squad AND when I was a high scorer.

uh, negative.... It would be nice if that were true.... It SHOULD move only guys at the bottom that aren't in squads as a 1st choice.

Our clan has 4-8 playing at a time, and we've had squad leaders, squad members, etc... all moved mid-game. Had 2 guys that I can think of from last night that were in our squad, and on subsequent maps they were moved over.

Too bad it doesn't take clan tags into account either...

There are server side options that can be set, not sure if they're changeable on ranked servers, though, which significantly change how autobalance works. Pretty easy to code by hand too, if you have to, but again, probably not allowed on ranked servers.

I hate it. As an attack copter pilot, on certain maps, I'm quite often the first person to die, just because I get into combat quicker than anybody else. For instance, during the race for bases on oilfields, I'll cap the two eastern-most flags, and then die before anybody else even sees the enemy.

LOL, after insuring my team gets the second attack copter spawn, I immediately get switched to the other team. Talk about frustrating. Nice thing is, seems like hardly anybody knows about that copter spawn, and it is a short run by buggy from the mec airstrip to steal a cobra.

I have definitely gotten screwed by this. I was in a squad, well balanced, two anti-armor, a medic, and two assualts. . .and we were running around causing a ruckus. I was the leader of the squad in points and about 2nd or 3rd on our team and I got switched. On the other side, there were no real functioning squads and they were all running around with their heads cut off. II was so pissed that I got switched.

One of the guys in my old squad called me a traitor. :)
