That's why I really hate autobalance!

It's probably me been sleeping in the class fort the first 2 weeks palying BF2, but yesterday I found this out.

Playing on a ranked server (as I mostly do) and fighting for the US team. Got 42 teampoints up to a point where the fuc.... autobalance system threw me over to the other side. Don't normally mind that too much, but I was playing the squad leader of a squad that actually functioned very well (not too ofthen I'm sad to say). So offcourse I got really mad about that. Then afther the round I got furious when realising that when I got moved I lost ALL my teampoints.

WHAT the HELL!!?? This can't be true......,but sureley it was!

They better change this ASAP or change the autobalance system drastically! )I'm affraid they don't give a rats ass about what I think, but I just have to say it!)
I hope that more and more ranked server are set up NOT to be autobalance untill this is fixed.
I quickly logged off the server in my furious state and found a ranked server that didn't run the autobalance system.
I was a bit unsure if the teams would be very unbalanced, but to my great satisfaction this worked very well and the players communicated as soon as it got unbalanced and people moved from one team to the other between the rounds. This didn't have to happen a lot of time either since people kept comming in to the server and kept it pretty balanced most of the time.

I had a great blast on that server and will go back as soon as I log on again.

Any thoughts on this from you guys?

Yeah, i think alot of clans have this prob aswell... mine was actualy working on a script that would only auto-ballance players that were not in a squad. To bad multiplay wouldnt alow the script :)

Hope EA will fix it, but who knows.

you lost your points when you got switched?

I've been switcged a few times, and i don't think that's happened to me. I'll have to pat attention to that next time i play.

usually when there isnt balance the teams will begin to get stacked, by roughly 20% more people on one team

It's only the people at the bottom of the list that switch... Hard to think your at the bottom with 42 points...

Well my friend I did :|: I had 72 points at the time I got switched 30 for kils and 42 for team. I was in a BH gunning at the time with my squad members.

Afther the round I had 41 points 36 kils and 5 team.

it always autobalances me AFTER I blow up the enemy arty and uav huts...

If it's stripping your team points them autobalance very definitely needs fixed. I wont play on a server without it though, you end up with the team that's starting to lose suffering from all the deserters. You end up with a ton more people on the winning side as all the noobs and lowlifes in the lower ranks switch sides.

it cant be the person at the bottom because i know for a fact when i had the most points in the server i was switched after being the squad leader of my clan members..that can be very frustrating especially when i cant get switched back for a long period of time..

I played on a server without autobalance for 3 hrs. yesterday and that was not a problem at all. You should revise you thoughts and try it and se if you will experience the same thing as me.

When teams become unbalanced (someone disconnected etc) and autobalance is engaged, then the NEXT person to die on the stacked team (whether you are commander/squadleader/grunt) will be switched from the stacked team to balance teams. It can be VERY annoying but keep that in mind. It has NOTHING to do with how many kills you have, your ping, if you are on the bottom of the list or not... it is simply the unlucky guy that happens to die when the teams are unbalanced. Note: this will not occur if the teams are only unbalance by one person (ie. 15 versus 16) but will if the unbalancing is greater (ie. 14 versus 16).

And whenever, I get switched I retain all my points but may no longer be leading the team for points. For example if i were leading USMC for points with 23 and then got switched to MEC, I would still have the 23 but now someone on that team might already have 50 and I would appear to be sucking on the new team. But, no never LOST points when autoswitched.

The thing I hate about autobalance is it seems that I'm the one that always gets switched. This happens in every game I've played for some reason. The other day I was commander, we were winning and I had a bunch of points. Then all the sudden bam I'm on the other team. The worst was one time I got repeatedly switched everytime I died. I was US then mec then back to US and back to mec again. After a few switched I couldn't remember what team I was on so I hid in a ditch until I could figure out just what team I was on now.

i hate autobalance, when i get it when im a commander or a squad leader i hate it even more. there really is no point for it. its not really unfair, because its not like everyone has the same skills. if there is 5 privates on one team, and 4 privates and a corporal on the other team, thats fair

another stupid thing is, if YOU switch teams, it counts it as a suicide
