Really you guys have no idea about software development.

Dice and there developers/testers would love to deliver you a perfect game. You think the developers want to deliver you a crappy game? They bust their ass, sacrifice their time/family and shed blood sweat and tears and they work friggen overtime to the max. What to bring you a game they have passion for. And you guys act like spoilt children (not the the hacker but the community!)

At the end of the day they are a company and they have to make money! Why? So they can pay their devs and they in turn can feed their family! not to mention make the sahreholders some money so they can sail their boats....but that's just life, you have to accept we live in this economy. If you don't like it move to a communist/dictatorship state and live in fear of being shot everyday.

At the end of the day the 80/20 rule appiles. The last twenty percent is going to take you 80% of the time to fix. It's just not economically feasible to perfect it.

As for the hacker/cracker, kudos to you. You really went about it the proper way. You showed them a hole in their security without ruining peoples lives and more importantly managment are probably now not going to do a witch hunt for it and potentially ruin someones life. I sympathise with you. As a techo you scream and shout to management to give you the resources and time to fix what is blatently obvious and it falls on deaf ears. I admire your courage.

I feel sorry for the people who're playing this game for the unlocks. Listen up, the unlocks aren't anything special.

Play the game because you enjoy playing, not for some false sense of accomplishment when you hit some arbitrary number of points(mostly based upon time played, not skill) and get a new unlock/badge/whatever.

I must be old, I feel like the only person who distinquishes between cracker and hacker.

I think you missed the point. I was saying that everyone was just grabbing the shotgun type of weapons and just staying at one waypoint flag and not moving around. It looked like something out of the OK Corral.

Also I can see what you are saying with regards to points being refunded and everyone unlocking one of these two weapons.

I just hope the thrill of instagibbing dies fast so players can attempt to move to new waypoint targets again instead of hunkering down just so they can have their shotgun fights.

That was what I thought was a letdown.

I do not believe all hackers are "cheaters"..... Ask Bill Gates about recieving warnings concerning flaws in a OS, then ignoring those warnings.....people tend to go to the "ok I will show" frame of mind when trying to help fix something and being ignored.

You obviously have no clue what I am talking about. Guess you bought the game a day or two ago. So you are forgiven.

They were not defending a flag, but instead finding a spot in the middle of the map to hunker down in. No attempt to move out or drive out to a new waypoint or anything. Some were commenting over sayall if they knew how to play the game, but a majority of them were too into having all the weapons unlocked and playing an instagib game versus trying to go out and win the map, by controlling waypoint flags. There is a difference between defending a flag from an incoming forces versus hunkering down and not attempting to move anywhere.
